2026.09.24 அன்று வவுனியா மாவட்ட தமிழ் செவிப்புலனற்றோர் அமைப்பின் ஏற்பாட்டில் சர்வதேச சைகைமொழி தினக் கொண்டாட்டம் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது.
இந்நிகழ்வில் வவுனியா மாநகர சபை ஆணையாளர், மத்திய சம்மேளன செவிப்புலனற்றோர் நிறுவனத்தின் தலைவர், மற்றும் அனைத்து மாவட்டங்களையும் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்திய செவிப்புலனற்றோர் உறுப்பினர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு நிகழ்வை சிறப்பித்தனர்.
சைகைமொழியின் முக்கியத்துவத்தையும், செவிப்புலனற்றோரின் உரிமைகள் மற்றும் சமூகப் பங்கேற்பை வலுப்படுத்துவதன் அவசியத்தையும் வலியுறுத்தும் வகையில் இந்நிகழ்வு அமைந்தது.
The International Sign Language Day Celebration was successfully held on 24 September 2026 in Vavuniya, organized by the Tamil Deaf Association.
The event was attended by the Commissioner of the Vavuniya Municipal Council, the President of the Central Federation of the Deaf, and Deaf representatives from all districts, making the celebration a meaningful and memorable occasion.
The programme highlighted the importance of sign language and emphasized the rights, inclusion, and active participation of Deaf people in society.
