In order to develop youth energy and getting their contribution and commitment to the social development and to have justice in society, economy and politics through a social force the Asian youth center was established first in chennai 1984. Most.Rev.Toshio Miyake, the Founder of the World Conference on Religion and Peace (WCRP) and Sensai Rev.Mitsuo Miyake were the pioneer founders. Their visit

to Sri Lanka in 1988 led to the establishment the AYC Sri Lankan Chapter. There are other AYC Chapters in Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam, Thailand and Bangaladesh who are working towards a common vision with the cooperation of each chapter.
