Comet E3 ZTF is a comet from the Oort cloud, discovered by astronomers Bryce Bolin and Frank Masci with the help of Zwicky Transient Facility on 2nd March 2022. Comet E3 ZTF is a long-period comet with a green color glow around the comet’s head which is caused due to effect of sunlight on its diatomic carbon molecules. The comet has an apparent magnitude of 17.3 and was about 640 million km from the sun. The closest approach of Comet E3 ZTF to Earth will be at 42 million km on 1 February 2023. The comet is visible in the early evening and in the morning sky by the end of November.
