⚜️🇱🇰 A Proud and Historic Moment for Sri Lanka Scouting 🇱🇰⚜️
With immense pride and great joy, we celebrate a truly historic milestone in the journey of Sri Lanka Scouting.
For the first time in the history of the Sri Lanka Scout Association, the National Scout Youth Council was officially established on 04th April 2026, opening a new chapter for youth leadership, empowerment, and national-level representation within the movement.
This prestigious council has been formed with 100 selected Senior Scouts, and Rover Scouts representing every district across the island, creating a powerful platform for young leaders to contribute their vision, ideas, and leadership towards the future growth of Scouting in Sri Lanka. From among them, 21 outstanding youth members have been selected to form the Committee of the Council.
It is a moment of special pride for Hambantota District as our very own young Rover Scouts, W. D. Thilina Prabhashana, Chairman of the District Rover Crew, and M. R. Yusri Ahamed, Vice Chairman of the District Rover Crew, were honoured with their official appointments.
