දියගම වනාන්තරයේ ක්ෂීරපායින් සතුන් සංගණනය කිරීමේ ව්යාපෘතියක් UBASL හා SCAR සංවිධානය කරගෙන යමින් පවතී. මේ ව්යාපෘතිය අතරතුර මෙතෙක් දියගම වනාන්තරය තුලදී ඉතා දුර්ලභ වදවී යාමේ තර්ජනයට ලක්වූ බිළාල පවුලේ කුඩාතමයා වූ කොළ දිවියන්(Rusty spotted Cat),දුර්ලභ හදුන් දිවියන්(Fishing Cat), මීමින්නන්(Mouse Deer),උරුලෑවන් ඇතුලු ක්ෂීරපායින් විශේෂ ගණනාවක චායාරූප ලබාගැනීමට හැකිවිය.එයින් කිහිපයක් මෙහි පලකර ඇත.මෙම චායාරූ දියගම වනපියසේ සැගවුණු ජෛවවිවිධත්වයේ වටිනාකම තවතවත් ඔප්නැංවීමට හේතුවනු ඇත.දුර්ලභ රත් උණහපුලුවා, කොළ දිවියා වැනි සංවේදී සතුන් රැසකට වාසස්ථානය සපයන දියගම වනපියස රැකගැනීම අප සැමගේ වගකීමකි.මේ සදහා කටයුතු කල SCAR සංවිධානයේ Urban Fishing Cat Conservation Project ව්යාපෘතියටත් , Urban Biodiversity Alliance-Sri Lanka ටත් හා දියගම ක්රීඩාසංකීර්ණයේ අධ්යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල්තුමා ඇතුලු පරිපාලනයේ නියුතු යුධ හමුදා නිළදාරීන්ටද අපගේ ස්තූතිය පිරිනමමු.
🌿 *Monitoring Biodiversity, Conserving Nature* 🐾
UBASL, in collaboration with SCAR, recently conducted a mammal monitoring project in the Diyagama Forest using camera traps to document the area's rich wildlife diversity.
The images captured through this survey revealed several remarkable species, including the *Rusty-spotted Cat, **Fishing Cat, **Sri Lankan Jackal, **Brown Mongoose, **Indian Palm Civet, **Indian Grey Mongoose, **Porcupine, and **Mouse Deer*, highlighting the ecological significance of this forest ecosystem.
We extend our sincere appreciation tUrban Biodiversity Alliance-Sri Lankaka anUrban Fishing Cat Conservation Projectct for organizing and supporting initiatives that contribute to wildlife research, biodiversity conservation, and raising awareness about the importance of protecting our natural forests.
