GZC PPA Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026

This is to inform all members that the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was originally scheduled to be held on 19 April 2026 at the College premises, has now been rescheduled.

The nomination process was officially closed on 03 April 2026. Following this, we received several letters and emails from our Past Pupils members requesting an extension of the AGM date.

After carefully considering these requests, the Executive Committee has decided to postpone the AGM to 24 May 2026 (Sunday).

Please treat this message as the official notice. The same will also be displayed on the official notice board.

📢 NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – 2026

Gampola Zahira College Past Pupils’ Association is pleased to announce its Annual General Meeting 2026.

🗓 Date: April 19, 2026
⏰ Time: 9.30 A.M.
📍 Venue: College Mahmud Hall

Nominations are now open for key positions including Chairman, Vice Chairmen, General Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Committee Members.

📌 Important Deadlines:
• Nomination submission closes on April 03, 2026 at 5.00 PM
• Resolutions/Amendments must be submitted on or before the same deadline

📄 Nomination forms can be accessed via the QR code in the notice. Completed forms should be submitted to the PPA Office during the specified dates and times.

We encourage all life members to actively participate and contribute towards the continued growth and success of our association.

It is with great pride and honour that we announce Mr. Ruwad Salih, Warrant Officer II (18th Battalion) and Company Sergeant Major (CSM) of Gampola Zahira College, for having the distinguished privilege of representing the Central Province at the prestigious Inspector General of Police (IGP) Challenge Trophy 2025, held in Kalutara on 10th October 2025.

🌟 Joyful Juniors Event -A Day of Fun and Celebration for Kids! 🌟

On the 02 November 2024, the College Grounds of Gampola Zahira College were filled with laughter and excitement as the “Joyful Juniors” event took place, organized by the Gampola Zahira College Past Pupils’ Association Ladies Wing. It was a day dedicated to our young students, filled with games, activities, and endless smiles!

A huge thank you to the Ladies Wing for their incredible efforts in bringing joy to our students. The vibrant atmosphere, energetic participants, and dedicated organizers all contributed to making this event a memorable one. 🎉
