Our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Kushan Sudheera for his exceptional presentation at the Blueprint Series workshop 1: An Introduction to Reaearch and Patents 🚀

With his expertise spanning Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, and the Internet of Things, 💻 he shared a depth of knowledge on effective research methodologies and inspired students pointing to his own journey 💡

With over 40 research publications and a citation count that speaks to his global impact, ⚡️ Dr. Kushan brought a modern, data-driven perspective to our discussion on patents and research strategy 🔬

He holds a PhD from The Nanyang Technical University in Singapore 🇸🇬 and currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna ✨

A huge thank you to Professor Indika Perera for her exceptional talk at the Blueprint Series workshop 1: An Introduction to Research and Patents 🚀

Her work at the forefront of sustainable engineering 🌱 and advanced manufacturing was an inspiration to the students present. Her research—particularly in the development of plant-based lubricants and the optimization of manufacturing parameters ⚙️ was a prime example of how rigorous experimental investigation leads to innovative, real-world solutions ⚡️

Prof. Indika is a graduate from the University of Peradeniya with a PhD from Brunel University in the UK 🇬🇧 and over two decades of experience at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Univeristy of Ruhuna ✨
