Origami Folders Association of Sri Lanka The word Origami –means in Japanese to “fold paper”. Today, however, Origami is an International hobby with folders and creators in almost in every country.

In 1996 April,The Origami Folders Society was formed .Then in the year 2000 the society received the member affiliation to the Nippon Origami Association (NOA) the head office of the Origami folding chapter groups of the world. While Origami originated in China, the birth place of paper, it has been a significant part of Japanese culture for over a thousand of years. Through a stream of books, mag

azines and workshops now the general public has become increasingly aware of this creative art - Origami.
