The Rotary Club of Colombo East successfully hosted the SME Conclave on Boutique Hotels, a landmark initiative designed to empower tourism SMEs and strengthen one of Sri Lanka’s most vital industries.

Tourism continues to be a key driver of our nation’s economic growth, and boutique hotels stand at the heart of this ecosystem, blending local culture, personalized service, and unique experiences that showcase the best of Sri Lanka to the world.

This conclave brought together boutique hotel owners, service providers, and industry leaders, creating a collaborative platform to exchange ideas, share experiences, and chart a course toward sustainable growth. Discussions focused on innovation, customer experience, and long-term strategies to help SMEs thrive in an evolving tourism landscape.

By empowering small and medium enterprises in tourism, we move closer to a future where Sri Lanka can harness its full potential as a world-class destination.

On September 20th, Rotary, Rotaract, Interact, and our partners united with Cleanup Sri Lanka to fight plastic pollution and protect our environment.

From beaches to schools, parks to public spaces, hundreds joined hands to clean, raise awareness, and show that small actions create big change.

A heartfelt thank you to every club, volunteer, and partner who stood with us for a cleaner, greener Sri Lanka.
