Celebrating the Future of Banking at the Junior Bankers Awards Ceremony
The Junior Bankers Program, successfully conducted for the second consecutive year by APB in collaboration with IBSL, continues to shape the next generation of banking leaders. This year, 42 participants embarked on a transformative journey, gaining invaluable insights into key banking disciplines—from digital banking and compliance to treasury operations and career progression.
Notably, this year’s cohort included participants from across Sri Lanka, including the North and East, reflecting the program’s growing reach and national significance in fostering banking excellence.
We were honored to have Mr. Kelum Edirisinghe, CEO/Director of National Development Bank PLC (NDB), as our Chief Guest, who shared his inspirational journey in banking. A special thank you to Mr. C P A Karunatilake, Director General of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL), and his team for their unwavering support in making this initiative a success.
We are immensely proud of the 38 young bankers who successfully completed the program, demonstrating outstanding dedication and commitment. A heartfelt thank you to our facilitators, IBSL, and all stakeholders who played a key role in this journey.
