e give life to Y-MaC - Youth Movement against Corruption. An organization composed of Sri Lankan youth ready to stand, challenge and fight against corruption to make a better Sri Lanka for the future. The main institution empowered to take action against bribery and corruption in Sri Lanka is the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption established under the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption Act, No. 19 of 1994. It has been identified that awareness among the youth, on the sovereignty of the people as enshrined in Article 3 of the Constitution, the rights, duties and responsibilities of citizens and the laws, rules and regulations against bribery and corruption is obligatory. Y-MaC was formed in accordance with a concept created by the former Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, Ms. Our main objectives are conveying to society a strong message of anti-corruption, creating a society which values honest and uncorrupt practices, developing and reinforcing integrity among future leaders, using social network media to inspire society, creating youth awareness of the fight against corruption. Thus, we encourage all of you young people out there to come, join with us to break the corruption chain!
