THE GRADE 11 EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION – 2026

Alhamdulillah, the Old Boys' Association (OBA) is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of a memorable 2-day educational excursion to Nuwara Eliya for our Grade 11 student cohort. This annual initiative was strategically curated to provide vital academic respite, elevate student morale, and fortify peer brotherhood as these candidates approach their impending G.C.E. Ordinary Level examinations.

Throughout this enriching journey, the students had the exceptional privilege of exploring prominent educational and natural landmarks, including the pastoral expanses of the Ambewela Dairy Farm, the breathtaking vistas of Lovers Leap Waterfall, the historic industrial heritage of the Labookellie Tea Factory, and the serene environment of Gregory Lake.

We extend our profound gratitude to the parent community and our efficient project coordinators for their invaluable support and seamless cooperation. Furthermore, we express our sincere appreciation to the Executive Committee members of the Old Boys' Association for their presence and active participation, which contributed significantly to making this itinerary both secure and deeply impactful.

For the first time, the Old Boys’ Association has organized an awarding ceremony to honor the students who have successfully passed their GCE O-Level examinations. This special event also recognizes and appreciates the dedicated teachers who contributed to these achievements.

In particular, teachers who have guided their students to achieve more than a 75% pass rate will be specially awarded for their outstanding commitment and hard work.
And
After a very long time, our school science laboratory and library have been successfully reopened, bringing great joy to our students and teachers. This valuable initiative was made possible by the Mahagota Development Community.
In addition to reopening these important facilities, they have generously provided three volunteer teachers to support our students, along with first aid ⛑️ boxes.
This ceremony stands as a proud moment for our school community, celebrating both student success and the tireless efforts of our educators.
