The charity runs educational and community projects in areas affected by the 2004 Tsunami and 26-year Sri Lankan civil war.

Distributed food parcels to preschools💙

Ocean Stars Lanka மூன்று முன்பள்ளிகளுக்கு உணவுப் பொதிகளை வழங்கி, சிறுவர் ஊட்டச்சத்து மற்றும் நலனுக்காக பங்களித்துள்ளது. இந்த உதவி, குழந்தைகள் ஆரோக்கியமாக வளரவும், சிறந்த முறையில் கற்கவும் ஆதரவளிக்கிறது.

Ocean Stars is grateful to have distributed food parcels to three preschools, helping provide nutritious meals for young children. Together, we are supporting early childhood education by ensuring children have the nourishment they need to learn and grow.

🎨✨ DreamSpace Academy Teacher Training Programme | Make & Play 🚀📚

We were delighted to begin our first teacher training programme in partnership with DreamSpace Academy for the Ocean Stars Lanka preschool teachers.

The Make & Play session was a fun, creative, and hands-on learning experience. Teachers explored simple and innovative ways to create exciting learning materials using paper, rubber bands, and small mechanical components.

During the workshop, teachers learned how to make a variety of creative models, including:
🐸 Paper Frog
⛵ Boat
🚗 Car
🪭 Hand Fan

These activities encouraged creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork while demonstrating how low-cost materials can be transformed into engaging educational resources for preschool children.

Our teachers gained many new ideas and practical skills that they can now use in their classrooms to make learning more interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful for children.

A Wonderful Day at Mahadeva Play Park! 🎉💙

Today, the Ocean Stars Lanka Team, together with the Ocean Stars Swiss Preschool, enjoyed a wonderful educational visit to Mahadeva Play Park.

Our preschool children had a fantastic time exploring, playing, learning, and making joyful memories with their teachers and friends. Outdoor activities like these help children develop their confidence, creativity, social skills, and physical well-being in a fun and safe environment.

📚✨ Midline CDP Activities | Ocean Stars Lanka ✨🎉

We are delighted to share that all 31 Ocean Stars Lanka preschools successfully conducted their Midline Child Development Programme (CDP) Activities.

The activities were designed to assess children's development while creating a fun, interactive, and child-friendly learning environment. Through engaging games, creative tasks, storytelling, movement activities, and hands-on learning experiences, the children participated enthusiastically and enjoyed every moment.

It was wonderful to see the children's confidence, creativity, communication, problem-solving skills, and overall development reflected throughout the activities. These midline assessments help us understand each child's progress and enable us to continue providing quality early childhood education.

📚 CDP Monitoring Visit | Chenkalady 01 Preschool 🔢✨

As part of our Child Development Programme (CDP) monitoring visits, the Ocean Stars Lanka team visited Chenkalady 01 Preschool to observe classroom teaching and support the professional development of our preschool teachers.

During the visit, the teacher conducted a well-organized and engaging Mathematical Development lesson. Through interactive, hands-on learning activities, the children explored early mathematical concepts such as counting, number recognition, sorting, patterns, shapes, and problem-solving in a fun and meaningful way.

We are delighted to see the teacher's dedication to creating a positive learning environment that encourages children to develop confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

We sincerely appreciate the commitment and hard work of the teacher and thank everyone who continues to support quality early childhood education.

Butterfly Garden Team வழங்கிய Creative Development அமர்வில் எங்கள் ஆசிரியர்கள் உற்சாகமாகப் பங்கேற்றனர்.

இந்த செய்முறைப் பயிற்சியின் மூலம், பயன்பாடின்றி தூக்கி எறியப்படும் பொருட்கள் மற்றும் மறுசுழற்சி செய்யக்கூடிய பொருட்களை பயன்படுத்தி, முன்பள்ளி குழந்தைகளுக்கான அழகான கைவினைப் பொருட்கள் மற்றும் கற்றல் உபகரணங்களை எவ்வாறு உருவாக்குவது என்பதை ஆசிரியர்கள் கற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.

Our teachers participated in an inspiring Creative Development Session facilitated by the Butterfly Garden Team. During this hands-on workshop, teachers discovered how to transform waste and recycled materials into creative learning resources and beautiful craft activities for preschool children. The session encouraged creativity, innovation, and sustainable practices, showing that simple everyday materials can become meaningful educational tools.

Teachers explored a variety of craft ideas, developed new practical skills, and gained confidence in creating fun, low-cost classroom resources that promote children's imagination, creativity, fine motor skills, and problem-solving abilities.
