ඩච්-ලංකා මිත්රත්ව පදනම රජයේ පාසල් සමග ඒකාබද්ධව ක්රියාත්මක කරන enAble srilanka ව්යාපෘතිය යටතේ අම්/කාවන්තිස්ස මහ විද්යාලයේ විශේෂ අධ්යාපන ඒකකය සදහා සංවේදන කාමරයක් 2026.06.17 වන බදාදා දින විවෘත කරනු ලැබීය.
මෙය දරුවන්ගේ පෙනිම, ඇසීම, ස්පර්ශය, සමබරතාවය සහ ශරීරයේ චලනයන් පාලනය කළ හැකි උත්තේජනය කිරීමට හෝ සන්සුන් කිරීමට විශේෂයෙන් සැළසුම් කරන ලද ආරක්ෂිත පරිසරයකින් හෙබි කාමරයකි.
දරුවන්ගේ මනස හා ගත සුවපත් කරන සුවිශේෂි චිකිත්සක අවකාශයක් ලෙස මෙම සංවේදන කාමරය ක්රියාත්මක වේ.
ඒ සදහා ඩච් ලංකා මිත්රත්ව පදනමේ නිර්මාතෘවරිය වන කර්ස්ටන් ගීතෝන් මහත්මිය, කරියානා මහත්මිය, දේශීය අධ්යක්ෂක ලියෝන් ලෝරන්ස් මහතා ඇතුළු නිළධාරින්, අම්පාර කලාප අධ්යාපන ඒකකයේ නොවිධිමත් ඒකකයේ සහකාර අධ්යක්ෂක ලංකාරත්න මහතා ඇතුළු ගුරු උපදේශකවරුන්, විදුහල්පති තිලක් චන්දන මහතා, අම්පාර මහ රෝහලේ වෘත්තීය චිකිත්සක ඩිලුක්ෂි සේනාධීර මෙනෙවිය සහ විශේෂ අධ්යාපන ඒකකය භාර ශානිකා දිසානායක මහත්මිය ඇතුළු ගුරු මණ්ඩලය සහභාගි විය
A sensory room was inaugurated on Wednesday, 17th June 2026, under the enAble Sri Lanka project implemented by the Dutch-Lanka Friendship Foundation in collaboration with government schools, for the Special Education Unit of Am/Kavantissa Maha Vidyalaya.
This is a room with a safe environment specially designed to stimulate or calm children's vision, hearing, touch, balance and body movements.
This sensory room functions as a unique therapeutic space that heals the mind and body of children.
The event was attended by the founder of the Dutch-Lanka Friendship Foundation, Mrs. Kirsten Giethoorn, Mrs. Karianne, Country Director Mr. Leon Lawrence, and other DLFF staff, the Assistant Director of the Non-Formal Unit of the Ampara Zonal Education Unit, Mr. Lankaratne, and In service advisors, the Principal Mr. Thilak Chandana, the Occupational Therapist of the Ampara General Hospital, Ms. Dilukshi Senadheera, and the Special Education Unit, Ms. Shanika Dissanayake, and the teaching staff.
