نظّمت جمعية سي بعل مساء الأحد لقاءً أدبيًّا في قاعة بيت سبعل - قضاء زغرتا بعنوان "حين تتكلم سبعل" شارك فيه مختار البلدة رولان رومانوس ، الخوري ادوار الخوري، رئيس الجمعية العمرانية السبعلية ناصيف سليمان، رئيس جمعية for Zgharta بيار مرقص الدويهي وعائلات الشعراء والادباء المحتفى بهم وحشد من المهتمين.
بعد النشيد الوطني، استهلت الاحتفال مسؤولة الإعلام في جمعية "سي بعل" أتينا الحاج مشدّدةّ على أهمية نقل هذا الإرث الأدبي والثقافي عبر الأجيال، وكانت كلمة لرئيس الجمعية أمير الحاج، الذي سلط الضوء على الجمعية ومضمون اللقاء الادبي. بدوره تحدث مسؤول اللجنة الثقافية في الجمعية ومنفذ اللقاء ميلاد قبشي عن فرحته بتكريم هذه الاسماء والوجوه التي تجمعها بلدة واحدة، وهي اليوم خالدة بالإرث الذي تركته.
بعد ذلك أرسل حفيد الشاعر أسعد السبعلي الأديب جان حاصباني تسجيلًا صوتيًا بعد تعذّره عن الحضور، تحدث فيه عن جدّه، وشكر الحضور خصوصًا الاعلامي روبير فرنجية والشاعر فوزي يمين على مشاركتهما، ثمّ ختم مداخلته بتلاوة قصيدة لجده عن سبعل بعنوان "جارة النجمات".
بعده تحدث عن الشاعر أسعد السبعلي، الإعلامي روبير فرنجية الذي تناول الراحل في نصوصه الغنائية وفي مدرسته التي لا تشبه سائر المدارس الشعرية العامية، داعيًا إلى تحويل بيته إلى متحف أدبي وإلى ترجمة قصائده وإعادة نشر الكتب التي نفدت من المكتبات.
بدورها أعادت أتينا الحاج إلقاء قصيدتين من ديوان السبعلي الأخير "نقلة كنار".
كما تحدث عن النقيب السابق للمعلمين الشاعر أنطوان السبعلاني تلميذه المفضل الشاعر الدكتور فوزي يمين، مستعيدًا حضوره الطاغي في الصف ومدرسة الفرير زغرتا وكيف ترك أثرًا في مسيرته الأدبية والتعليمية من شاعر الصف بالفصحى الى شاعر الوطن بالحديث كذلك في حياة الكثير من الشعراء والادباء.
ثم تناول الدور التوجيهي الذي قدمه في مسيرته التعليمية والنقابية المضيئة وكيف جعله عاشقًا لقافلة كبيرة من الشعراء والادباء اللبنانيين والعرب وفي العالم.
بعده قرأ نجل السبعلاني بيار بعض القصائد لوالده تفاعل معها الحضور لاسيما قصيدة "المعلم الاجير".
وتعاقب على الكلام والقاء القصائد والتعريف بمشاهير سبعل أقارب وأبناء للصحافية الفيرا لطوف مؤسسة صحيفة المستقبل ولشاعر لبنان والانتشار يوسف روحانا والشاعر يعقوب باخوس الرئيس السابق لبلدية سبعل.
كما تضمّن المساء الأدبي معرضًا للكتب التي لها صلات بشعراء وأدباء أبناء سبعل، مع ملصقات ومجموعات من الصور الفوتوغرافية توثق مسيرات هذه القافلة من أبناء سبعل الذين غابوا بالجسد ويبقون على قيد الحياة في الديوان والكتاب والقصة والصحيفة والمقال والمآثر.
Se baal Association hosted a literary evening on Sunday at Beit Sebaal Hall-Zgharta District under the title “When Sebaal Speaks”. The event was attended by the town’s mukhtar, Roland Romanos; Father Edouard Khoury; Nassif Sleiman, president of the Sebaal Urban Association; Pierre Douaihy, president of For Zgharta association; as well as the families of the poets and writers being honored and a large number of literary and cultural enthusiasts.
Following the Lebanese national anthem, Athina Hage, the association’s media officer, opened the ceremony by emphasizing the importance of preserving Sebaal’s literary and cultural heritage and passing it on to future generations.
Association President Amir Hage then spoke about the association and the significance of the gathering. Miled Abchi, head of the association’s cultural committee and organizer of the evening, expressed his happiness at honoring a group of distinguished literary figures whose common bond is their hometown of Sebaal and the enduring legacy they left behind.
The evening paid particular tribute to poet Asaad Al-Sebaali. His grandson, writer Jean Hasbani, who was unable to attend, sent a recorded message in which he spoke warmly about his grandfather and thanked the participants, especially journalist Robert Franjieh and poet Fawzi Yammine. He concluded by reciting his grandfather’s poem about Sebaal, “jarat l najmat”( Neighbor of the Stars).
Journalist Robert Franjieh followed with a tribute to Al-Sebaali, discussing his contribution to colloquial Arabic poetry and the distinctive character of his poetic style. He called for the poet’s home to be turned into a literary museum, his works to be translated, and his out-of-print books to be republished.
Athina Hage also recited two poems from Al-Sebaali’s final collection, “Naqlit Kenar.”
Another prominent figure honored during the evening was poet and former teachers’ union leader Antoine Al-Sebaalani. His former student, poet and academic Dr. Fawzi Yammine, recalled Al-Sebaalani’s powerful presence as a teacher at the Frères School in Zgharta and spoke of the profound influence he had on his own literary and educational journey.
Dr. Yammine highlighted Al-Sebaalani’s role not only as an educator but also as a mentor who introduced him to generations of Lebanese, Arab, and international poets and writers. He also reflected on his distinguished educational and union career and the lasting impact of his guidance.
Antoine Al-Sebaalani’s son, Pierre, then recited several of his father’s poems, with the audience responding particularly warmly to “Al Moallem al ajir”.
The program continued with contributions from relatives and descendants of several other prominent figures from Sebaal, including journalist Elvira Latouf, founder of Al-Mustaqbal newspaper; poet Youssef Rouhana, known for his writings about Lebanon and the diaspora; and poet Yaacoub Bakhos, former president of Sebaal municipality.
The evening also featured an exhibition of books associated with Sebaal’s poets and writers, together with posters and collections of photographs documenting their lives and careers.
Although these writers and poets are no longer physically present, the evening underscored how they continue to live on through their poetry, books, stories, journalism, articles, and enduring contributions to Lebanese cultural life.
