Celebrating three years of bringing Lebanon’s heritage directly to communities!
Since its launch, Heritage in Motion has traveled across Lebanon, stopping at university campuses, schools, scout outings, cultural festivals, and community markets. By converting a bus into both an interactive cultural space and a rapid-response unit during emergencies, we make tangible heritage accessible wherever students and communities are.
Our traveling experience features two core thematic tracks:
Beiti Bl Dayaa (“My Rural Home”): An immersive exploration of ancestral practices, farming tools, and heritage protection, capped off with a traditional Lebanese breakfast.
Darbit Maalim (“Traditional Crafts”): A hands-on, sensory workshop focused on artisanal techniques like copper work and pottery, accompanied by a traditional katayef tasting.
As we continue our exhibitions with these themes for the upcoming year, we invite educational institutions, cultural organizations, and partners to collaborate with us.
نحتفل بمرور ثلاث سنوات على مبادرة نقل التراث اللبناني مباشرةً إلى المجتمعات!
منذ انطلاقها، جابت مبادرة “Heritage in Motion” (التراث يتحرك) أرجاء لبنان، حيث حطت رحالها في الجامعات والمدارس والمخيمات الكشفية والمهرجانات الثقافية والأسواق المجتمعية. ومن خلال تحويل حافلة إلى مساحة ثقافية تفاعلية ووحدة استجابة سريعة للطوارئ، فإننا نتيح الوصول إلى التراث الملموس أينما تواجد الطلاب والمجتمعات.
تتضمن تجربتنا المتنقلة مسارين رئيسيين:
“بيتي بالضيعة” (Beiti Bl Dayaa): رحلة استكشافية غامرة لممارسات الأجداد وأدوات الزراعة وجهود حماية التراث، تُختتم بتناول وجبة إفطار لبنانية تقليدية.
“ضربة معلم” (Darbit Maalim): ورشة عمل تفاعلية وحسية تركز على الحرف اليدوية التقليدية -مثل تشكيل النحاس وصناعة الفخار- وتتخللها تجربة تذوق حلوى “القطايف” التقليدية.
وبينما نواصل تنظيم معارضنا التي تتمحور حول هذه المواضيع خلال العام المقبل، فإننا ندعو المؤسسات التعليمية والمنظمات الثقافية والشركاء للتعاون معنا.
