Al Rabih School proudly joined the Adyan Educational Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) alongside Sainte Famille – Sahel Alma and leading Lebanese universities (LAU, BAU, NDU, USEK, and Sagesse University).

Students, parents, and educational leaders participated in an enriching workshop organized by Adyan Foundation and Danmission, supporting the project “Protecting and Promoting FoRB in Lebanon through Education, Advocacy, and Interfaith Engagement,” funded by CKU, Danish Resource Centre for development cooperation.
Together, we promote dialogue, respect, and coexistence while empowering future generations to build a more inclusive society. 🌍✨

During this session, Alwanists were divided into groups to identify the needs of the RS community as a preliminary step toward conducting the feasibility study for their final social project. The project aims to reflect the voices of the beneficiaries and address the needs of the targeted group. Discussions focused on the initiative, the individual and collective dimensions of the identified needs, as well as the various methods of financially supporting the project.

In this week’s session, our Alwanists explored the theme “Journey of Privileges,” which aims to enhance students’ awareness of privilege and its impact on personal experiences and opportunities. The session further encouraged empathy and a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with fewer privileges. It also promoted the values of equality and motivated students to take meaningful steps toward reducing gaps and inequalities within their communities.
Additionally, the session addressed the negative consequences of stereotyping on individuals and society. Students examined the harm caused by stereotypical images and were encouraged to foster greater understanding, acceptance, and inclusion in their environment.

This week, our Alwanists participated in a series of engaging activities, including the Johari Window Model, through which they explored their open, blind, hidden, and unknown areas, and reflected on the interconnections among them. Additional activities were also conducted to emphasize the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and community engagement, fostering greater self-awareness and mutual understanding within the group.

Our first Alwan Club 2025–2026 meeting successfully commenced, marked by the enthusiasm and active engagement of our students. They shared their insights and participated in a reflective activity aimed at identifying their core values, while recognizing that such values should be individually respected and may evolve over time.
Additionally, icebreaking activities were conducted to explore the distinction between needs and feelings and to understand how these two aspects influence one another.
We were also honored to host Akasha Kabboul, our graduate student and proud Alwanist, who shared her inspiring experiences. She reflected on how her participation in the Alwan Club, supported by the Adyan Foundation, profoundly influenced her perspective on life and enriched her exposure to university life in diverse and meaningful ways.

Working towards a sustainable future is important every day, but one week a year we want to give this topic extra attention.
Our grade 10 and 11 students (Alwan Club and RS Green Club) began their preparation for next week's 'Sustainability Week' studying the economic and environmental impacts that needs to be tackled and find optimal solutions to reduce power consumption and have a stable long-term and efficient solar system for a sustainable, environmentally friendly and greener community 💚
