Our Story

The crisis of the modern world is a crisis of magnanimity, a crisis of greatness. Consumerism, hedonism and moral relativism have spawned generations of small, self-centered people on the make: creatures without a past, without a homeland, without family and without God.

We must stop this process of zombification of the human being. We must re-establish the human person. We must lift up our heads, affirm our dignity, and discover the greatness for which God created us.

Our mission is to ignite hearts for greatness, to raise up a new generation of Virtuous Leaders empowered to transform Life – business, family and culture – and spread a vision of leadership which is consistent with the highest demands of human nature and the noblest aspirations of the human heart.

The Virtuous Leadership Institute is made up of professionals from a variety of walks of life in many countries. Together, they constitute an international movement devoted to empowering men and women of character to transform the world.

The Virtuous Leadership Institute was founded in Russia. It has branches in Lebanon, Belgium, China, Finland, France, Guatemala, Portugal, Spain and the United States. Local Virtuous Leadership Institutes are independent organizations which actively collaborate with one another.

The Virtuous Leadership Institute in Lebanon:

It is a non-profit organization founded in 2019. Through our work in the corporate world and the education sector, we are reaching the youth and our fellow human beings from all walks of life, we are working to ignite hearts for greatness and raise up a new generation of virtuous leaders called to transform our world, and so lay the foundations for a new civilization since according to Charles Malik “the greatest thing about any civilization is the human person”. We believe that leaders are not born, they are trained. That leadership is not a matter of mere technique, but an act of character. You are not a functionary, but a diamond that must be refined and perfected to achieve its true brilliance and radiance.

Biography:

Alexandre Havard is the founder of the Havard Virtuous Leadership System. Born in France, Mr. Havard is a graduate of one of France‘s leading law schools, and worked as a lawyer throughout Europe. Mr. Havard has been living and working in Paris, Helsinki, and Moscow and he oversees the HVLI network and offers the Virtuous Leadership seminars to business executives, educators, public officials, and MBA students and consults with some of the largest international corporations around the world. His books “Virtuous Leadership” (available in Arabic), “Created for Greatness” and “From Temperament to Character” have been translated into 20 languages. Alexander Havard lives in Moscow.
