Dr. Jackie Maalouf participated in this initiative organized by Diabetes India which brought together children living with Type 1 diabetes and their parents for a meaningful walk symbolizing solidarity, inclusion, and hope.
International faculty members participating in the conference were invited to join the walk and later engage in heartfelt conversations with the children and their families over a healthy breakfast.

Listening to these young warriors and their parents, sharing their stories, challenges, and aspirations was deeply moving. It reminded us all that beyond science, beyond guidelines, and beyond innovation, diabetes care is ultimately about people.
Moments like these reinforce why we continue to advocate for equity, access, structured education, and psychosocial support in diabetes care.

Together, we truly leave no one behind.
