Caritas Syria (Official), represented by its Executive Office and Damascus Office, organized five workshops from 13 to 20 July 2026 on “Caritas Identity and Its Synodal Mission,” with the participation of 95 staff members and volunteers from both offices.

The workshops gave participants the opportunity to share their experiences and practical insights, enriching discussions and supporting mutual learning. Key topics included the
importance of active listening, teamwork, constructive communication, and cooperation in
daily work and engagement with the local communities.

The workshops also provided safe spaces for participants to exchange ideas and experiences, strengthen teamwork, and walk together in serving people experiencing poverty, vulnerability, and marginalization while upholding their dignity.

أتاحت الورشات للمشاركين فرص تبادل الخبرات والتجارب العملية، مما ساهم في إثراء النقاش وتعزيز التعلّم المتبادل. ومن
أبرز الأفكار المطروحة التأكيد على أهمية الإصغاء، والعمل بروح الشراكة، وتعزيز ثقافة الحوار والتعاون، وتطبيقها في
بيئات العمل والمجتمع.

كما ساهمت الورشات في توفير مساحات آمنة لتبادل الخبرات والآراء، وتعزيز العمل الجماعي والسير معًا لخدمة الفقراء
والضعفاء والمهمّشين، مع صون كرامتهم.

On 6 July 2026, Caritas Syria’s Al Hasakah and Al Qamishli organised an online workshop entitled "Caritas Service and Synodal Perspectives."
The workshop brought together 11 staff members from both offices and provided a safe space for active participation, dialogue, attentive listening, and the exchange of experiences. It aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of Caritas identity, strengthen
their commitment to its mission and values, and highlight the importance of collaboration and walking together to serve the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized while upholding their dignity.

نظّمت كاريتاس سورية - مكتب الحسكة والقامشلي ورشة عمل عن بُعد بتاريخ 6 تموز 2026، بعنوان "الخدمة في كاريتاس
من منظور سينودوسي" بمشاركة 11 مؤدي خدمة من المكتبين، وشهدت الورشة مشاركة فاعلة وتبادلًا للخبرات ضمن
مساحة آمنة للحوار والإصغاء، بهدف تعزيز فهم هوية كاريتاس لدى المشاركين وتعميق الالتزام برسالتها وقيمها والإضاءة
على أهمية العمل التشاركي فيها والسير معاً لخدمة الفقراء، والضعفاء والمهمّشين مع صون كرامتهم.

On , we stand in solidarity with humanitarian workers around the world who continue to serve communities affected by conflict, crisis and disaster and who ate often at great personal risk.

Humanitarian workers must be protected. Respect for International Humanitarian Law (IHL) is essential to ensuring that those who provide life-saving assistance can do their work safely and that civilians are protected.

As Caritas, we recognize the important role of religious actors in promoting respect for IHL, advocating for peace, and strengthening solidarity with affected communities.

Today, we honour humanitarian workers who serve with courage and commitment, and we call for greater protection, accountability and respect for humanitarian principles.

A fake job offer can become a trafficking trap.

Criminal networks lure people with promises of legitimate work. Instead, many are trafficked into scam operations, where they are stripped of their freedom and forced to carry out online fraud under threats, violence, debt and fear.

Preventing this crime requires stronger oversight of recruitment agencies, safe labour migration pathways and greater awareness of deceptive recruitment practices.

This World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, let’s shine light on the many human trafficking victims trapped behind scams.

We stand in solidarity with you, her family and loved ones, and the entire Caritas Kharkiv community during this time of profound sorrow. May Yana’s commitment to serving others continue to inspire us, and may you find strength and comfort in the prayers and support of the wider Caritas family.

Caritas Syria- Central Area Office - organized a workshop on July 7 2026, entitled "Caritas Service and Synodal Perspectives", bringing together 30 staff members, with a high level of participation.

The workshop strengthened participants' understanding of Caritas' identity and mission, highlighting the Caritas values of service, compassion, and spiritual accompaniment. It also explored the meaning of synodality as a journey of listening, dialogue, and walking together in solidarity, particularly in serving the poor and the most vulnerable.

نظّمت كاريتاس سورية - مكتب المنطقة الوسطى - ورشة عمل بتاريخ 17 تموز 2026، بعنوان "الخدمة في كاريتاس من منظور سينودسي "، بمشاركة 30 من مؤدي خدمة ، وسط تفاعل مميز ونسبة حضور.

ركزت الورشة على تعزيز فهم المشاركين لهوية كاريتاس ورسالتها، انطلاقًا من قيم الكاريتاس وروح الخدمة والمرافقة، مع تسليط الضوء على مفهوم السينودسية باعتباره مسيرة إصغاء، وشراكة، والسير معًا في خدمة الإنسان، ولا سيما الفقراء والمهمشين.

Caritas Syria Littoral Office organized two consecutive workshops on 24, 25 June 2026, entitled "Caritas Service and Synodal Perspectives", bringing together 49 Caritas Social Workers, with significant participant engagement.

Workshop deepened participants' understanding of Caritas' mission, emphasizing accompaniment, community service, and walking together in faith. Through practical experiences and meaningful discussions, participants reflected on how Caritas' values can be lived out in daily service, strengthening collaboration and fostering a shared vision for the future.

نظمت كاريتاس سورية – مكتب الساحل ورشتي عمل متتاليتين يومي 24 و25 حزيران 2026، تحت عنوان "الخدمة في كاريتاس من منظور سينودسي"، بمشاركة 49 مؤدي خدمة من كاريتاس، وبتفاعل ملحوظ من المشاركين.
هدفت الورشة إلى تعميق فهم المشاركين لهوية كاريتاس ورسالتها، مع التركيز على قيم المرافقة، وخدمة الإنسان، والسير معًا بروح الشركة. ومن خلال الأنشطة التفاعلية والنقاشات البنّاءة، أتيحت للمشاركين فرصة للتأمل في كيفية تجسيد رسالة كاريتاس في خدمتهم اليومية، بما يعزز روح التعاون ويكرّس رؤية مشتركة للمستقبل.

Caritas Syria Aleppo Office organized four consecutive workshops on 16, 25 June, and 2, 9 July 2026, entitled "Caritas Service and Synodal Perspectives", bringing together 109 Caritas staff members, with broad and active participation.

The workshops provided a meaningful space for listening, dialogue, and the exchange of experiences. Participants shared inspiring field stories that reflected Caritas’s mission of serving people and upholding their dignity—from stories of rapid emergency response that helped save lives to touching moments that demonstrated the trust communities place in Caritas, as well as the power of hospitality and attentive listening in restoring hope to those in need.

نظّمت كاريتاس سورية – مكتب حلب أربع ورش عمل متتالية بتوارخ 16، 25 حزيران و2، 9 تموز 2026، تحت عنوان "الخدمة في كاريتاس من منظور سينودسي"، بمشاركة 109 مؤدي خدمة من كاريتاس، بمشاركة واسعة وفاعلة.

شكلت ورش العمل مساحة حقيقة للإصغاء والحوار وتبادل الخبرات. وشارك المشاركون قصصًا ميدانية ملهمة جسّدت رسالة كاريتاس في خدمة الإنسان وصون كرامته؛ بدءًا من قصص الاستجابة السريعة لحالات الطوارئ التي أسهمت في إنقاذ الأرواح، وصولًا إلى مواقف مؤثرة أظهرت ثقة المجتمعات المحلية بكاريتاس، وأهمية الاستقبال والإصغاء باهتمام في إعادة الأمل إلى المحتاجين.
