Despite the challenges of 2023, our commitment at ULYP remained unwavering and we tried our utmost to make a difference in the lives of the children, youth and women we serve. “On August 19, 2023, I communicated with ULYP to inform them about my wish to withdraw from the Digital Transformation course within the FLY program. My reasons behind this decision were many. ULYP immediately wrote back to me and then called me to tell me they totally understand my position yet to also encourage me to challenge myself and reconsider. They motivated me not to give up and supported me in facing my challenges. They believed in me and made me believe in myself too. I managed to reverse my decision and now I am a holder of a certificate from Purdue University and Simplilearn on Digital Transformation. "My story with the ULYP FLY program is unique and one that ends on a happy note.
I had started my learning within the Project Management course of this program and progressed quickly. Then, my life was turned upside down and I went off the radar for a long period. ULYP, however, did not give up on me and kept finding ways to locate me until they did. With such a commitment to improve the future of the youth, I was motivated to resume my journey. With the support of ULYP and of Simplilearn, my account was reactivated and I continued my learning until reaching success. Now, I am a holder of a certificate from UMASS AMHERST university in Project Management and am better prepared to improve my livelihood and that of my community’s. "When there is a will, there is a way!" A true quote for our graduate Muaaz Deyab who had to stop his learning within the FLY Cyber Security course to attend to his obligations and demanding schedule at his workplace. Yet, he never gave up! Eventually, he came back to his learning and independently worked hard to complete his course and achieve the certificate to compliment his preparedness for today's marketplace.

عندما يكون هناك إرادة، يكون هناك وسيلة. عبارة صحيحة تنطبق تمامًا على خريجنا معاذ دياب الذي اضطر إلى توقيف تعليمه في دورة الأمان السيبراني للالتزامات والجدول الزمني الصعب في مكان عمله. ومع ذلك، لم يستسلم أبدًا ووجد وسيلة للعودة إلى تعلمه وعمل بجد بشكل مستقل لإكمال دورته والحصول على الشهادة لتعزيز استعداده لسوق العمل في الوقت الحالي. مبروك معاذ.

We are pleased to announce that the Change program is back, with a wonderful new group of Grade 12 students. We started the program at our campus, where students met their teachers and facilitators. ULYP, in supported by the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund, will be working with these students for 14 months, developing their English, math and life skills.

“I am Zohair, a Palestinian refugee from Lebanon. I studied Business Administration at the Lebanese American University LAU and graduated in 2019 thanks to a scholarship provided by ULYP. Before, during and after graduation, ULYP played an important role in supporting me to change my life which also helped me motivate others to hope and change.”
ULYP is my second family, they have given me care, confidence and motivation to achieve where I am today. Their influence on my life is tremendous and has shaped and changed my vision towards my future life and career. ULYP has continued in its endeavor to provide opportunities for all its graduates to achieve excellence in their careers through its various programs, one of which is the FLY program. I enrolled in this program to study a postgraduate course in project management, which added a lot of experience and skills and gave me a new horizon to develop my career according to global standards.

"أنا زهير، لاجئ فلسطيني من لبنان. لقد درست إدارة الأعمال في الجامعة اللبنانية الأمريكية LAU وتخرجت في عام 2019 بفضل منحة دراسية قدمتها ULYP. قبل وأثناء وبعد التخرج، لعبت ULYP دورًا مهما في دعمي لتغيير حياتي مما ساعدني أيضًا في تحفيز الآخرين على الأمل والتغيير. ULYP هي عائلتي الثانية، لقد أعطتني الرعاية والثقة والتحفيز لتحقيق ما أنا عليه اليوم. إن تأثيرهم على حياتي هائل وشكل وغير رؤيتي تجاه حياتي المستقبلية ومسيرتي المهنية.
