The Center for Development, Democracy, and Governance (CDDG), represented by its President Mr. Jean Khachan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fiih Medical Center, represented by the Mayor of Fiih, Mr. Issam Haidar, on May 28, 2026. This agreement aims to support the healthcare sector and enhance medical services in the town.

The agreement provides for equipping the medical center with an Echography (ultrasound) device, funded generously by LCCF, in addition to organizing various medical activities and healthcare services in coordination with Taproot Association.

This cooperation reflects joint efforts to support local communities and improve healthcare services for residents through sustainable development and humanitarian partnerships, contributing to better access to quality medical care.

وقّع مركز التنمية، الديمقراطية والحوكمة (CDDG)، ممثلاً برئيسه الأستاذ جان خشان، مذكرة تفاهم مع مستوصف فيع ممثلاً برئيس البلدية الأستاذ عصام حيدر، وذلك بتاريخ 28 أيار 2026، في خطوة تهدف إلى دعم القطاع الصحي وتعزيز الخدمات الطبية في البلدة.

وتنصّ الاتفاقية على تجهيز المستوصف الطبي بجهاز إيكو (Echography)، بتمويل كريم من جمعية LCCF، إضافةً إلى تنظيم أنشطة وخدمات طبية متنوعة بالتنسيق مع جمعية Taproot.

ويأتي هذا التعاون ضمن إطار الجهود المشتركة لدعم المجتمعات المحلية وتحسين مستوى الرعاية الصحية لأهالي المنطقة، عبر شراكات تنموية وإنسانية مستدامة، بما يساهم في تعزيز الوصول إلى الخدمات الطبية وتأمين رعاية صحية أفضل للمواطنين

The SESA program continues to provide support and care to children with learning difficulties in North Bekaa through its activities.

Our Q1 Impact in Numbers (February – April 2026). We are thrilled to share that the first three months of the project have completely exceeded our expectations:

54 Students Enrolled: We expanded our capacity past our initial target of 50 to welcome more children into the program.
462 Therapy Sessions Delivered: Defying challenges to provide robust speech and psychomotor therapy to our students.
A Growing Community: We have actively engaged 23 parents and trained 29 teachers, building a strong, inclusive ecosystem around these children.
18.87% Average Improvement: Most importantly, our very first milestone assessments show tangible, quantitative cognitive and behavioral growth among the children!

The CDDG association held its second annual retreat at its headquarters in Zouk Mosbeh, with the majority of the administrative board and executive council members in attendance.

The retreat addressed three main pillars:

The association's current status in terms of achievements over the past two years, and the programs and projects that have been implemented

The internal governance framework and operational mechanisms

The objectives and work plan for the upcoming year

The attendees agreed to adopt a work plan based on a developmental vision focused on growth, partnership, efficiency, and responding to current challenges.

Furthermore, the participants reaffirmed their determination to continue working toward achieving these ambitious goals, despite the circumstances and challenges facing Lebanon and the region, reflecting the association's commitment to its role in society.

عقدت جمعية CDDG خلوتها السنوية الثانية في مركزها الرئيسي في ذوق مصبح، بحضور غالبية أعضاء الهيئة الإدارية والمجلس التنفيذي.

تناولت الخلوة ثلاثة محاور أساسية:
• الوضع الحالي للجمعية من حيث ما تم إنجازه خلال السنتين الماضيتين، والبرامج والمشاريع التي نُفذت
• إطار الحوكمة الداخلي وآليات العمل
• أهداف وخطة العمل للعام المقبل

وقد أجمع الحاضرون على اعتماد خطة عمل تنطلق من رؤية تنموية ترتكز على التطوير، الشراكة، الفعالية، والاستجابة للتحديات الراهنة.

كما أكد المشاركون إصرارهم على مواصلة العمل لتحقيق هذه الأهداف الطموحة، رغم الظروف والتحديات التي يمر بها لبنان والمنطقة، بما يعكس التزام الجمعية بدورها تجاه المجتمع
