نظّمت جمعية لنعمل من أجل المفقودين في بلدية بحنين – شمال لبنان جلسة توعوية بعنوان «التعامل الآمن مع مواقع المقابر المحتملة»، بمشاركة رئيس البلدية وأعضاء المجلس البلدي وشرطة البلدية والمخاتير.

ركّزت الجلسة على أهمية حماية مواقع المقابر المحتملة منذ لحظة اكتشافها، والدور الأساسي الذي تؤديه الجهات المحلية في الحفاظ على الموقع والمعلومات المرتبطة به، وتعزيز التنسيق مع الهيئة الوطنية للمفقودين والمخفيين قسرًا في إطار القانون 105/2018.

وتشكّل هذه الجلسة خطوة أولى نحو توسيع التعاون مع البلديات والجهات المحلية في حماية مواقع المقابر الجماعية المحتملة والتعامل الآمن معها.
ACT for the Disappeared organized an awareness session at Bhanine Municipality in North Lebanon entitled “Safe Handling of Potential Gravesites,” with the participation of the municipality president, municipal council members, municipal police, and mukhtars.

The session focused on the importance of protecting potential gravesites from the moment of discovery, the key role of local authorities in preserving the site and related information, and strengthening coordination with the National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared within the framework of Law 105/2018.

This session marks a first step toward expanding cooperation with municipalities and local authorities in protecting potential gravesites and ensuring their safe handling.

International Forensic Academy Congress – Bali, Indonesia

ACT participated in the International Forensic Academy Congress held in Bali. The congress brought together experts, practitioners, and civil society organizations from across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East working on forensic sciences, transitional justice, and missing persons.

ACT shared experiences from Lebanon and contributed to discussions on family-centered approaches, forensic expertise, and international cooperation in the search for truth and the identification of missing persons.

من دير القمر، أضاف معرض "مش ذكرى" محطة جديدة إلى رحلة المناصرة من أجل التطبيق الكامل للقانون ١٠٥ والتصديق على الاتفاقية الدولية لحماية جميع الأشخاص من الإخفاء القسري. جمع اللقاء عائلات المفقودين، وأعضاء الهيئة الوطنية، وممثلين عن السلطات المحلية، وأكاديميين وشبابًا، في حوار أكد أن معرفة مصير المفقودين ليست مطلبًا فرديًا، بل حقًا وطنيًا وإنسانيًا يستحق أن يبقى حاضرًا في الوعي العام.
From Deir El Qamar, the "Not Just a Memory" exhibition continued its journey of advocacy For the full implementation of Law 105 and the ratification of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance. Families of the missing, members of the National Commission, local leaders, academics, and young people came together to reaffirm that the right to know the fate of the missing is both a human right and a national responsibility.

من بلدية دير القمر، واصلت جمعية لنعمل من أجل المفقودين جولة معرض «مش ذكرى»، بالتزامن مع جلسة حوارية جمعت ممثّلًا عن النائب فريد البستاني، وأعضاءً من الهيئة الوطنية للمفقودين والمخفيين قسرًا، ولجنة أهالي المخطوفين والمفقودين في لبنان، إلى جانب أكاديميين، وشباب، وفاعلين من المجتمع المحلي.

ومن محطة إلى أخرى، نواصل المناصرة من أجل التطبيق الكامل للقانون 105/2018، ودعم عمل الهيئة الوطنية، ودفع لبنان نحو التصديق على الاتفاقية الدولية لحماية جميع الأشخاص من الاختفاء القسري.
From the Municipality of Deir el Qamar, ACT for the Disappeared continued the "Not Just a Memory" exhibition tour, alongside a panel discussion that brought together a representative of MP Farid Boustany, members of the National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared, the Committee of the Families of the Kidnapped and Disappeared in Lebanon, as well as academics, young people, and members of the local community.
From one stop to the next, we continue advocating for the full implementation of Law No. 105/2018, supporting the work of the National Commission, and urging Lebanon to ratify the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance.

ACT for the Disappeared continued the “Not Just a Memory” exhibition tour at Nawfal Palace in Tripoli, bringing together speakers from diverse backgrounds, including Dr. Ziad Ajjaj, Member of the National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared.
Participants underscored the importance of supporting the work of the National Commission and renewing the call for Lebanon to ratify the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, reaffirming families' right to know the truth.
Not just to remember. To keep the journey going.
