Angels of the Beirut Reconstruction Initiative,
Six years have already passed since that devastating day that forever changed our beloved Beirut.
The destruction, the crime that tore through our beautiful city, left deep scars on every one of us. Yet, in the midst of the pain and devastation, something even greater emerged: the compassion, courage, and resilience of our people.
You were among those who chose to stand up when others could barely stand. You gave your time, your strength, your hearts, and your hope. You reminded us that Beirut is not defined by shattered buildings, but by the extraordinary people who refuse to let it fall. That is why I call you angels.
I remember that day with teard; one of sorrow for what we lost, and another of hope inspired by the love, solidarity, and determination that each of you embodied. It remains one of the greatest honours of my life to have worked alongside you. I am still immensely proud of every one of you.
I truly hope life has been kind to you all, and I wish you success, happiness, and fulfilment in every path you have chosen.
Tinzakar w ma tin3ad. May we never witness such a tragedy again. But perhaps it's time we gathered once more, not in response to a disaster, but simply to celebrate life, reconnect, share where our journeys have taken us, and remind each other that if any one of us ever needs support, we are still here for one another.
