World Environment Day 💚

Protecting our planet begins with the choices we make every day! 🌍

At CEEDD in USJ, we believe that sustainability is built through education, awareness, research, and community engagement.

Throughout the year, we work alongside students, educators, institutions, and communities to transform environmental awareness into meaningful action.

From waste management initiatives and environmental education to conferences, competitions, workshops, and collaborative projects, every effort contributes to a more sustainable future.

Because caring for the environment is not a one-day commitment, it is a continuous collective responsibility.

Together, let us keep building a culture of eco-citizenship for present and future generations. 🌱

🐝 Small in size, Essential for Life!

On World Bee Day, we celebrate these remarkable pollinators that play a vital role in sustaining biodiversity and food security worldwide.

🌼 Bees pollinate nearly 75% of the world’s food crops.
🌍 More than 20,000 species of bees exist globally.
⚠️ Yet many are threatened by habitat loss, pesticides, pollution, and climate change.

Without bees, ecosystems lose their balance, biodiversity declines, and our food systems become increasingly vulnerable!

What can we do?

🌸 Plant nectar-rich flowers
🚫 Reduce pesticide use
💧 Provide clean water sources
🏡 Protect natural habitats
📣 Raise awareness

Protecting bees means protecting our future 🙌🏻

🌍 A throwback to the regional forum held in Rabat as part of the closing seminar of the “Questions d’Égalité” project ✨

Bringing together stakeholders from Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia, the forum provided a space to share experiences and reflect on gender equality challenges and opportunities across the region. Led in Lebanon by the Chair of “Fondation Diane” for Education on Eco-citizenship and Sustainable Development (CEEDD) and supervised by Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD), the two-year project developed innovative and participatory educational approaches with young people while integrating research on perceptions and dynamics related to gender equality in schools.

The event also highlighted key results and strengthened regional collaboration in support of more inclusive and equitable societies. 🤝🌍✨
