MEADOWS (Mediterranean Endeavors Advancing Development Of Widespread Sustainability), established in 2007, is a non-profit NGO aiming to promote cultural exchange & advancement in the arts & art therapy for all ages through its 120 chapters worldwide. Since the 2006 war on Lebanon, MEADOWS NGO that was founded in 2006 has been making much needed interventions through Art Therapy workshops for trau
matized children from war. To name a few, the Nahr El Bared war, the Abra clashes and several other traumatic incidents in Lebanon where more than 10,000 children, amongst them street children, benefited from our art therapy programs. After the Beirut Port, August 4th 2020, devastating explosion, MEADOWS team of Art Therapy experts who had already an established track record, took the decision to help all those in need of therapy starting from hospital nurses in great need of art therapy and TOT sessions for NGOs for traumatized children also extending a helping hand to teenagers, school children and adults, under the theme “Beirut Heals Through Arts”. The unprecedented economic crisis that the country is going through, reflected in an increase in the numbers of street children, due to the incremental rise in poverty rates. MEADOWS has the street children under its radar as the next segment in need of art therapy once the necessary funds are secured. MEADOWS Art Therapy Workshop Team:
