It’s been a month since we closed the doors 😔

We are excited to say, there is a team of 6, both Lebanese and foreign, who are actively working behind the scenes to not only get the store reopen but to open it bigger and better, and with new services and projects that go beyond just the store. Stay tune for more updates!

With a heavy heart we are forced to announce The Salt & Grain Exchange is now closed due to the lack of funding for rent costs.

We fought hard to keep the store open, right up to the last day, exhausting all options, but were not able to find a solution to cover the cost of rent.

We have loved getting to know all of you, and many of you have become family.

Serving you has brought us great joy. Everyday we woke up excited to see how the store would be able to serve the community.

This store has been a beacon of light for many, and our prayer is that God will provide a way for us to reopen.

We will be boxing up all inventory and storing it with the anticipation of reopening in the near future.

To those who lost homes, who had to evacuate, or who are carrying fear and uncertainty today — we are thinking of you and praying for you.

Thank you to all who have put money into our money jar (fish bowl 😁) over the last week.

We work 40+ hours a week to make sure the store is clean, shelves are organized, and items quickly sorted and put out so that you can have a good shopping experience. All while working as volunteers without pay.

The money in the jar puts a smile on our faces and helps us feel appreciated for all the blood, sweat and tears we pour into the store.

Looking for baby items? We’ve got you covered!

Whether you need clothes (newborn and up!), bibs, bottles, blankets, toys or even larger baby gear — items for little ones are constantly coming and going through our doors.

When your little one outgrows something or you no longer need it, you can simply bring it back and exchange it for whatever stage comes next. Tiny clothes turn into bigger clothes. Bottles turn into books.

That’s the beauty of how this works!

At The Salt & Grain Exchange, we love receiving items — but we do have a few simple guidelines to keep the store running well for everyone.

👕 Clothing: clean, no stains, no rips, no damage.
If it wouldn’t make it to your best friend’s closet, it probably won’t make it to our racks.

🔌 Other items: fully working and complete.
That means all pieces included, all plugs attached, no “it works if you hold it like this.”

A good rule of thumb:
If someone can pick it up and immediately use it and benefit from it — it’s perfect.

We promise we’re not picky… we just want every item on our shelves to be a blessing to the next person.
