In memory of Yayoi Kusama (1929–2026)

Following the official announcement of Yayoi Kusama’s passing, CAPL pays tribute to the life and work of one of the most influential artists of contemporary art.
In the sixth issue of L’Art et le Monde, published in June 2026, CAPL devoted an article to the profound relationship between Kusama’s artistic practice and her psychological experience.

“Yayoi Kusama: L'art comme moyen de survie,” written by Anthony Abdel Karim, explores how art became, for Kusama, far more than an aesthetic practice: a vital means of expression, transformation and resilience.
It is with this perspective that we remember her extraordinary journey and the enduring power of her work.

As a cultural organization, CAPL considers the relationship between culture and mental health to be an important interdisciplinary field of reflection. Rather than viewing these domains separately, we believe that exploring their intersections contributes to a broader understanding of human experience.

2025 was a year when CAPL built on its cultural activities, alongside the daily activities at the CAPL Center 📚🎨
We published new works, including the fifth issue of L’Art et le monde and the book "Le Bonheur est tout près" by Anthony Abdel Karim🖋
This year also saw the opening of the CAPL Consultation Office and Boutique in Achrafieh, Rmeil, a space combining a boutique with CAPL products and a consultation office for cultural and educational projects
