Hi, I’m Button 🐾 Here is a little info about me:

My life didn’t start the way every dog deserves. Until February 2026, my brother and I were kept in captivity for veterinary experiments. Thankfully, we were rescued, and now I’m finally learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a family.

I’m a very gentle and friendly boy. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but if you approach me kindly (bonus points for treats!), I warm up quickly. Once I trust you, I’ll happily roll over and show you my belly. I’m also okay with being picked up and handled gently. I’ve been very sweet with kids too, though I don’t have video proof of that yet.

I get along well with other dogs and enjoy calmly sharing space with them. I’m not usually the type to jump into play right away with new dogs, but I’m polite and peaceful at dog daycare. I tend to feel more comfortable around dogs closer to my size and calmer energy levels. My very best friend is my brother 💛

I haven’t met any cats yet, so that’s still a mystery. My energy level is moderate — I enjoy outdoor adventures and walks, but I’m also very happy to relax quietly at home afterward.

On walks, I can pull on the leash a little sometimes, but I generally follow my handler well and I’ve never shown aggression. I don’t guard food from people, though I may growl if another dog approaches while I’m eating. I also haven’t shown signs of separation anxiety.

Sometimes I bark when I want something or when visitors arrive, just to let everyone know what’s going on. I’m about 90% housetrained and improving every day. I also don’t have an escape tendency.

More than anything, I’m looking for a patient and loving family who will continue showing me the gentle life I’ve only recently discovered. I may have had a difficult beginning, but I’m ready for a bright future full of cuddles, walks, and belonging.

My story started with a lot of uncertainty. When I was about five months old, I was abandoned by my previous owner and ended up in a poorly run pet shop. I was kept in a tiny crowded room with too many other dogs, and we were all extremely stressed from the lack of space, exercise, and proper care. It’s believed that I was handled roughly there too, especially around my collar, which made it hard for me to trust people at first.

Thankfully, compassionate people rescued me in October 2022 and brought me to a caring dog hotel where I could finally feel safe. Since then, I’ve been learning what love, kindness, and comfort feel like — and I’ve made amazing progress.

I can be a little shy when meeting strangers, but I warm up quickly, especially if treats are involved! I’m very food-motivated and will happily approach new people for snacks. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll even roll over and show you my belly.

Because I had repeated ear infections in the past, I’m sensitive about my ears being touched. Other than that, I enjoy affection and don’t mind being handled gently.

When meeting other dogs, I’m polite and gentle, though I’m not usually interested in playing. Because of my difficult past, I sometimes get jealous when I have to share my humans’ attention with other dogs. I really love bonding closely with my people, so a home where I can be the only dog would help me feel the most secure and happy.

Even when I see cats during walks, I stay focused on my handler, which shows how connected and attentive I can be.

What I’m looking for most is a patient, loving family who will continue helping me build confidence and enjoy the safe, peaceful life I deserve. Once you earn my trust, I’ll be the sweetest, most loyal little companion by your side.

노을이 어제 1차, 오늘 2차 심장사상충 성충 치료 주사 맞았어요. 힘들 텐데 잘 이겨내고 있어요. 다행히 식욕도 아주 왕성해요. 이제 약 먹고 얼른 낫자.

Noel received two Immiticide injections to kill adult heartworms. It must be tough for him, but he is handling it well. Fortunately, He still has a good appetite. Get well soon, Noel!

❤️Congrats, Pippi❤️

Thanks to the help of many angels, Pippi(삐삐) safely arrived in Canada a few days ago and met her forever family!

Pippi was rescued from 2025 South Korea wildfires. She was suffering burns on her face and body (See the last picture). Fortunately, she recovered well.

Arriving in Canada, Pippi(now Lily) is settling in so well. Great personality and easy to train. Her mom said "She is just a joy. I am not sure who rescued whom to be honest."

Pippi, we wish you would enjoy a lot of fun adventures with your forever family!

감사한 여러분들의 도움 덕분에 삐삐가 얼마 전에 캐나다에 잘 도착해 평생 가족을 만났어요!

삐삐는 2025년 안동 산불 현장에서 구조됐어요. 얼굴과 몸에 화상이 심했지만(마지막 사진) 다행스럽게도 잘 회복했어요.

캐나다에 도착한 삐삐는 매우 잘 적응하고 있어요. 성격도 너무 좋고 교육도 잘 따라오고 있대요. 엄마는 "삐삐는 기쁨을 주는 존재예요. 솔직히 말해서 누가 누구를 구한 건지 모르겠어요."라고 말씀하셨어요.

삐삐야, 앞으로 평생 가족과 함께 재밌는 모험을 많이 즐기렴!

⭐Alumni update⭐

Panini is doing great! She loves looking out the window to watch the neighborhood with her siblings and cooling off in the water, even though she still refuses to swim.

봉자는 매우 잘 지내고 있어요! 두 저먼셰퍼드 언니 오빠와 함께 창밖을 보며 동네를 감시하기도 하고 물에 들어가서 더위를 식히기도 해요. 아직 수영을 시도하지는 않고 있지만요.

Thanks to the help of many angels, Luke(럭키) safely arrived in Canada a few days ago and met his forever family!

Luke was roaming around the streets for a few months and rescued before he was on the euthanasia list.

Arriving in Canada, Luke has met many dogs and people and is affectionate with all. His mom said "he is everything we wanted in a pet."

Luke, we wish you would enjoy a lot of fun adventures with your forever family!

I was born to a stray mom alongside my three siblings. Life started off a little tough—two of my siblings didn’t make it, but the two of us who survived stayed strong. After spending almost a year in a shelter, I’m now in a foster home, learning what love and comfort feel like.

I’m a happy, cheerful girl with a bright personality—I just need a little time to warm up. I can be a bit shy when we first meet, but if you’re gentle (and maybe have some treats 😉), I’ll quickly start to trust you. Once I feel safe, I’ll let you pet me and even pick me up.
I’ve met kids before and did really well—I stayed calm and gentle, even when they were running around and being loud. I’d be happy in a home with respectful children.

With other dogs, I’m generally friendly and playful! I might look a little nervous at first, but I often approach to say hello and will invite play when I’m feeling fun. I’m most comfortable with dogs my size or smaller—big dogs can be a bit scary for me.

I’m still young (just over a year old), so I have a bit of puppy energy. I love going outside, exploring, and sniffing everything—I do tend to zigzag on walks because there’s just so much to discover! Afterward, I’m happy to relax at home… though sometimes I get the zoomies and have a little burst of fun.

I’m crate-trained and about 90% housetrained. I don’t have separation anxiety, don’t try to escape, and I haven’t shown any aggression or resource guarding. I can be a little startled by certain things (like a stranger with an umbrella), but I’m learning every day. I also get a bit of carsickness, so I might drool on car rides.

More than anything, I’m looking for a loving family who will give me a little patience while I settle in. I promise to reward you with my sweet, playful, and gentle nature.

I didn’t have the easiest start in life. My mom was tied up as a guard dog at a factory, and I was born as part of a litter of five puppies. Sadly, two of my siblings passed away from distemper, but the three of us who survived kept going strong. I’ve spent about a year in boarding waiting for my chance at a real home, and through it all, I’ve stayed happy, social, and full of love.

I’m a friendly boy who warms up quickly to new people—especially if treats are involved! I’m very food motivated, so winning me over is pretty easy. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily roll over for belly rubs.

I absolutely love other dogs and enjoy making new friends. I’ll happily invite dogs of all sizes to play, though very large dogs can make me a little nervous at first. My favorite thing is running around a yard and wrestling with my dog buddies.

I have a moderate-to-high energy level, so I’d love an active family who can help me burn off my energy with walks, playtime, and adventures. I’m still working on my leash manners and can pull a bit when I get excited, but I do try to follow my person.

My story started on a stormy day. During a heavy summer monsoon, I was found drifting in a flooded waterway—just a tiny puppy trying to stay afloat. Luckily, a kind person saw me, scooped me up, and brought me somewhere safe and warm. Since then, I’ve been waiting patiently for my forever home… and I really hope it’s with you 💛

I’m a super social, affectionate girl who absolutely loves people. I’m not shy at all—actually, I might roll over and show you my belly the moment we meet! Belly rubs, scratches, kisses… yes please to all of it 😄 I warm up quickly and just want to be everyone’s best friend. I’m gentle with kids and would fit beautifully into a big, loving family.

I’m also a total social butterfly with other dogs. Big or small, I don’t mind—I’ll happily trot over and invite them to play! I’ve been living around many small senior dogs and get along great with them, but I also have a playful, youthful side and still act like a happy, giddy puppy sometimes.

I even stayed in a home with three cats for a short time, so I may be able to live with feline friends too.

When I was just a puppy, I was kept in a storage room and meant for a life that didn’t have much love in it. But everything changed when kind people stepped in and gave me a second chance. Now I’m in a foster home, and I’m finally learning how wonderful life can be.

I’m a super affectionate and cuddly girl. I love people—like, really love them! I’m not shy with strangers at all… in fact, I might roll over and show you my belly within minutes (belly rubs are my favorite thing ever 😄). I live with a young kid right now, and he’s my best friend. I’m gentle, loving, and happiest when I’m close to my humans.

Other dogs are still a bit confusing for me. Since I didn’t get to meet many when I was younger, I can feel unsure—especially around bigger dogs. I’m not interested in playing with them much yet, and I’d much rather spend my time with people.

I haven’t met any cats so far, so I’m not sure how I feel about them yet.

I’m still very much a puppy at heart—full of energy and curiosity! Sitting still for too long isn’t really my thing 😅 During walks, I get excited and sometimes distracted. If I feel overwhelmed, I might even plop down and refuse to move for a bit. Sudden noises or fast movements can startle me, but I’m getting braver every day with regular walks and gentle guidance.
