흥사단의 목적과 도산 안창호 선생의 구국이념을 바탕으로 겨레사랑 정신과 인도주의에 입각하여 민족의 발전과 평화통일을 위한 연구, 교육사업 및 실행사업을 전개함으로써, 민족통일을 촉진하고 세계평화에 기여함을 목적으로 한다.
