We don't exist to tell people what to believe. We exist to let the Bible speak for itself — and to invite all people to decide for themselves what it means and how it calls them to live.

The Bible cannot be owned.
Not by a person. Not by a group of people. Not by a religion. Not by a culture. Not by a nation.
It cannot be patented. It cannot be controlled. It cannot be contained.
It is living and powerful — and it has been crossing every boundary, entering every culture, finding every heart that the Spirit has prepared to receive it — since the Word first became flesh and dwelt among us.

It arrived in Korea through China before any missionary came. It gave unnamed girls their dignity and their education. It gave a colonized people the courage to stand against an empire. It turned a nation that received missionaries into a nation that sends them to over 170 nations today.
These are not stories about the Bible.

These are stories from the living Word of God.
God chose to make people messengers of that Word — visible in who they are becoming. Through the work of the Spirit, transformation creates humility, allegiance and surrender. The Spirit working through the Word in a person produces a life the world can read.
A living epistle.

4.7 billion people in Asia have not yet encountered these stories.
A center in Seoul — at the crossroads of East and West — exists to tell them. Not to promote a religion. Not to build an institution. But to make available to every person in Asia the living Word that belongs to all of humanity.

Come and see what the Word has done. Come and see what the Spirit is still doing. Come and see what becomes possible when the Spirit works through the Word in a human life.

Counter-Cultural

Jesus did not come to start a religion.

He came to start a movement. A kingdom. A community of people being transformed by the Spirit and the Word — present in the world but living by a completely different set of values.
He touched the l***r. He spoke to the Samaritan woman. He stopped for the one the crowd walked past. He ate with the ones religion had rejected.

This is what the Spirit produces in a person through the Word — eyes that see what the world around them has chosen not to see. And the courage to act on what they see.

In 1885 the Spirit had been working through the Word in a woman who arrived in Seoul and looked at girls with no names and no right to education — and could not look away.
Her transformed life changed a civilization.

Not because of her strength. Not because of her strategy. But because the Spirit working through the Word had produced in her humility, allegiance and surrender — and God chose to make her a messenger of the living Word, visible in who she was becoming.

CrossCulture is not a concept. It is a calling. To follow Jesus across every boundary. To become a living epistle. To let the Spirit work through the Word.

태초에 말씀이 계셨습니다.
그 말씀은 하나님과 함께 계셨고, 곧 하나님이셨습니다.
그 말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하셨습니다. (요 1:1, 14)

예수 그리스도는 보이지 아니하시는 하나님의 형상이시며 (골 1:15)
사람이 하나님을 알 수 있도록 나타나신 분입니다.
영원에 속하신 그분이 시간 속으로 들어오셔서
우리로 하여금 하나님을 보고, 듣고, 만질 수 있게 하셨습니다.

그분은 단순한 가르침이 아니라,
하나님께서 친히 쓰신 살아있는 말씀이셨습니다.

예수님의 제자들은 깨달았습니다.
“내 나라는 이 세상에 속한 것이 아니니라” (요 18:36)

그래서 그들은
세상에서 떠난 사람들이 아니라,
세상 가운데 있으되 세상에 속하지 않은 자들로 살았습니다. (요 17:14-16)

그들의 삶은 다른 나라,
곧 하나님의 나라를 드러내는 증거였습니다.

하나님은 지금도 사람들을 부르십니다.
그리스도의 편지로 살아가도록 (고후 3:3)

돌판이 아니라 마음에 새겨진 말씀으로,
성령의 역사로 변화된 삶으로,
세상이 읽을 수 있는 살아있는 서신이 되게 하십니다.

이 변화는
성령께서 말씀을 통해 우리 안에 역사하실 때
겸손과 충성과 헌신의 열매로 나타납니다.

살아있는 서신.

이것은 어떤 종교나 제도가 아니라,
말씀을 주야로 묵상하고 (시 1:2)
성령으로 변화되어 (롬 12:2)

예수님께서 넘으셨던 모든 경계를 넘어
세상 속으로 나아가는 제자들의 삶입니다.

세상 안에 있으나, 세상에 속하지 않고
삶을 변화시키고,
공동체를 변화시키며,
마침내 세상을 변화시키는 삶.

In the beginning was the Word.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
Jesus is the image of the invisible God. He crossed the ultimate boundary — from eternity into time — so that the world could read God in a language it could understand. He is the original living epistle. He is the reason CrossCulture exists.
His disciples discovered that His kingdom was not of this world. They were in the world — but not of it. Chosen not to withdraw from the world but to be present in it as visible proof of a different kingdom entirely.
God chose to make people messengers of the living Word — visible in who they are becoming. Through the work of the Spirit, transformation creates humility, allegiance and surrender. The Spirit working through the Word — in a person — produces a life the world around it can read.
A living epistle.
CrossCulture Community is not a religion. Not an institution. It is a movement of disciples — meditating on the Word day and night, being transformed by the Spirit, becoming living epistles that cross every boundary Jesus crossed.
In the world. But not of it.
Changing lives. Changing communities. Changing the world.
