오늘평택대학교 평택한미동맹안보연구소 창립기념식에 참석하여 청중들에게 과거 내가 주한미군 사령관 초청으로 해외기지순방 경험과 NATO.그리고 태평양7함대 훈련 앞으로의 전략적 유연성으로 확장억제에 대하여 앞으로 한미동맹의 가치동맹에 대하여 이야기를 나누었다.
앞으로도 반미주의자나 중국의 공산정부는 한국과 미국을 갈라치기 위하여 열심히 노력할것이다.
우리는 과거부터 미래 한미동맹은 눈치보지말고 미국과 함께가야 한다고
강조하였다.
가치동맹은 앞으로도 훌륭한 이념적 동맹은 물론 실제로도 엄청발전할것을 믿어 의심치 않는다.

Pyeongtaek Korea-US Alliance Security Institute Founding Seminar.
Today, I attended the founding ceremony of the Pyeongtaek Korea-US Alliance Security Institute at Pyeongtaek University. I shared with the audience my past experiences touring overseas bases at the invitation of the Commander of US Forces Korea, NATO, and the Pacific 7th Fleet exercises, as well as my thoughts on extended deterrence and the future value-based alliance between the ROK and the US.
Going forward, anti-Americans and the Chinese Communist government will continue to work diligently to divide Korea and the US.
We have emphasized in the past that the future ROK-US alliance must move forward together with the US, without worrying about what others think.
I have no doubt that the value-based alliance will continue to be a wonderful ideological alliance and will continue to develop significantly in practice.
