부산-후쿠오카, 두 지방의 예술가와 예술행정가에 의해 2010년 발족된 [WATAGATA ARTS FESTIVAL]은 양국의 젊은 문화 예술인들이 서로의 이문화를 이해하고 지리적 환경을 초월하여 새로운 인식의 토대를 만들어 나가고, 전시 및 공연 행사뿐 아니라 부산-후쿠오카의 지속적인 교류를 통해 두 지방도시의 새로운 문화환경을 만드는 것을 지향합니다.
