In less than 50 days, the Philippines makes history as the Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025!
In the fair's 500-year history, it turns its spotlight for the first time ever to the Philippines—all its 7,641 islands—lighting up the world’s biggest stage for books and ideas.
At the heart of it all are two key spaces: the Philippine Pavilion, our creative home in Frankfurt, bursting with pride and energy, and the Philippine Stand, where our publishers, writers, and creators connect with the world. Together, they come alive with 100+ talks, readings, and performances that showcase the brilliance of Filipino literature, arts, and culture.
And it doesn't stop there. The Philippines is also taking over Frankfurt and beyond, with dynamic, festive events across the city and surrounding areas. From literature to music, from food to film, the world will see and feel the vibrance of the Philippines lighting up Germany.
This is more than a showcase. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime milestone where the Philippines steps into the global spotlight and tells its own stories in its own voice.
