WE Connect: Reconnected Online Gathering 💛🌍

Around 50 participants from 11 countries 🇧🇩🇰🇭🇹🇱🇭🇰🇮🇩🇱🇦🇲🇾🇵🇭🇰🇷🇹🇭🇻🇳, coming from two batches of WE Connect—A Journey of Hope 2024 and Pilgrims of Hope 2025—gathered once again for the WE Connect: Reconnected Online Gathering, our second online gathering as one growing Asian family. 💛🌍

This gathering was created to keep the bond alive after the program, to reconnect hearts across distances, to celebrate shared faith and experiences, and to continue building friendships rooted in mission and journeying together in Christ. 🙏✨

Even in different time zones and places, we are reminded that WE Connect is not just an event, it is a family that continues to walk together. 💫

Thank God it’s Friday. 💛
And thank God for the meaningful visit of Melai Cantiveros and family in Haemi. 🇰🇷✨

The Wake-Up International Youth Center is truly grateful to have welcomed them and shared with them the story of the Korean Unknown Martyrs, people who remained faithful with courage, humility, and love even in times of suffering and persecution. 🙏🏻

It was touching to witness a family taking time to reflect, pray, and journey together in a place marked by faith, sacrifice, and hope. Their visit reminds us that pilgrimage is not only about visiting sacred places, but also about opening our hearts to God through history, people, and encounters. 💛

Thank you again to Melai Cantiveros and family, and to KTO Manila, for choosing and visiting Haemi. May God continue to bless your journeys and inspire more people to encounter faith and hope through pilgrimage. 💛✨

🎉 Melai and Fam explore the beauty of faith in Haemi, Seosan-si 🇰🇷💛

A meaningful pilgrimage journey unfolded as Melai Cantiveros-Francisco and her family visited Haemi, Seosan-si and were warmly welcomed by the Wake-Up International Youth Center, together with the Haemi International Shrine, Chungcheongnam-do Tourism Organization, Seosan City Tourism, and Korea Tourism Organization. 🙏✨

During their visit, the Melai Fam learned about the inspiring story of Korean Catholic history and witnessed the sacred remains of the Korean Unknown Martyrs, making their pilgrimage a journey filled with prayer, reflection, and inspiration. ⛪🕊️

The family also visited the Wake-Up International Youth Center, where they explored the Pope Francis Museum and experienced an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) journey that brought them closer to the beauty and spirit of the Vatican. 🇻🇦✨

✨ Filipino Creators in the Heart of Haemi ✨

The Wake-Up International Youth Center, together with the Haemi International Shrine, Chungcheongnam-do Tourism Organization, Seosan City Tourism, and the Korea Tourism Organization, warmly welcomed 8 Filipino influencers from the K Creators Club to Haemi as part of a cultural and tourism exchange initiative. 🇰🇷🇵🇭✨

During their time in Haemi, they experienced both the faith and the beauty of the place, learning more about Korean Catholicism while exploring its rich history and surroundings.

웨이크업 국제청소년센터는 해미국제성지, 충청남도관광과, 서산시 관광과, 한국관광공사와 함께 K Creators Club 소속 필리핀 인플루언서 8명을 문화·관광 교류 프로그램의 일환으로 해미에서 따뜻하게 맞이했습니다. 🇰🇷🇵🇭✨

해미에 머무는 동안 이들은 신앙과 아름다움을 동시에 체험하며, 한국 천주교에 대해 더 깊이 이해하고 풍부한 역사와 문화를 탐방하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

🌱 ROOTS OF HOPE: WE Connect East Timor Team in Action 🌱

The WE Connect East Timor Team (Batch 1 & 2) successfully held the Indigenous Youth Cultural Camp with the theme “Roots of Hope” last April 24–26, 2026 in Maumali, Maliana. 🇹🇱

With 71 young participants from ESTV-A (Escola Secundária Técnico Vocasional Público de Agrícola), this meaningful gathering became a space to celebrate identity, deepen faith, and empower the next generation.

✨ Through sessions like “May Your Faith Be Your Culture,” storytelling, leadership workshops, and faith & culture reflections, the youth were invited to rediscover their roots and live them with purpose.

🌿 Activities such as sustainability and waste management training, tree planting, and community sharing strengthened their sense of responsibility for creation and one another.

We thank everyone—especially the WE Connect East Timor Team—who made this possible. May the seeds planted during these days continue to grow and bear fruit in the hearts of our young people. 💚
