Aredoc

Aredoc AREDOC targets children and citizens living in Kingdom of Cambodia, especially, rural areas where girls and women are regarded as high priority target groups.

Aredoc is a nonprofit organization established in 2010 whose mission is to contributes to reducing vulnerability, particularly for children, by developing sustainable initiatives that improve living conditions and build local capacity. AREDOC pursues the following objectives:

– To improve the living conditions of rural population
– To encourage the social development
– To increase access to educ

ation and health
– To strengthen capacities of local institutions

Programs currently developed by AREDOC:

– Education Support Fund Program (ESFP): directly benefits to 4000 children in primary schools and 27 primary schools within 7 communes of Treang district, through the provision of scholarship materials, counseling towards children, their families and communities as well as the support of the teachers and schools with a small package of funds called School Support Fund (SSF).

– Credit Program (CRP): aims at improving the livelihood outcomes in rural area through the provision of individual or group loans and microcredit services. It promotes the economic activity by addressing the on- and off-farms agriculture, small agricultural enterprises, and market vendors. It benefits to 69 clients including 63 women in 5 villages of Srangea, Sambour, and Angkhnol Communes, Treang District. Projects in development:

– Local Life Skills Integration (Pilot): aims at improving the rural education quality and increasing the consistency between formal education and daily livelihood. As a Pilot project, AREDOC has selected five schools which are currently in its interventions area. It will benefit to approximately 1000 children, their families and communities. The project will be implemented alongside with the cooperation of Education Office in Treang District and relevant Education Departments in Takeo Province.

– Improvement of the Mother and Child Healthcare in rural area: The project aims to improve the maternal and child health in 7 communes of Treang and Kirivong operational districts through three main interventions: 1) improvement of public health services and infrastructures, 2) increase of the public health services’ utilisation through improved quality and linkage with the community, 3) awareness raising about maternal and child health through community health education.
