The Youth’s Dream provides approximately 60 disadvantaged youths annually with 12 months of intensive training, preparing them for a career in the rapidly expanding hospitality industry in Siem Reap. The trainees that are selected are youths which have missed out on a chance at formal education, are in the poorest of circumstances and have already been subject to dire working conditions. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a qualification from the Department of labor law and vocational training and Department of Tourism. They will also receive secure employment positions with local high-end hotels with competitive salaries and contracts. Focusing on one of the following 4 departments: Food product-Cook-helper, Housekeeping-room attendant, Front Office-guest service agent, or Food and Beverage Services agent, each trainee is learning highly demanded technical skills along with vital life skills including financial literacy, negotiation and leadership skills. We, the students of YDFA, are proud to offer our food and beverage services, as well as room accommodations, to all of you. Please join us in our practice sessions to help us enhance our skills before the completion of our training program. Your participation plays a crucial role in empowering disadvantaged youth to develop strong skills and gain confidence before embarking on their internships.
