💧✨ Clean drinking water is the foundation of student health!

Looking at our Bio-sand water filtration setup which is housed under a durable blue roof with secure fencing and storage tanks, it's easy to see how simple infrastructure transforms daily school life. 🏫🌍

Before these stations were built, unsafe water meant missed school days and health struggles for students. Now, this natural filtration system works quietly in the background, removing harmful bacteria and dirt to deliver fresh, safe drinking water directly to the school every single day.
🌱 When students have easy access to clean water right outside their classrooms, they stay hydrated, healthy, and ready to learn.

Why do WASH workshops matter?

Because they bring knowledge straight to the students. Our educators lead these sessions in classrooms 🏫, teaching children about clean water, sanitation, hygiene, waste management, and Nutrition. These lessons are practical skills that students can use every day to protect their health and improve their lives.

🌍 When students learn how to wash their hands properly, how to manage waste responsibly, or how to care for their environment, they become agents of change in their schools and communities. The impact is immediate and lasting.

What really happens when garbage takes over our world?

We end up with polluted rivers, toxic smoke choking the air, and diseases spreading through our schools. Unmanaged trash poisons our environment, impacts our health, and steals the bright future our kids deserve.

🌍✨ But it doesn't have to be this way. Change starts with simple everyday habits—the 4R’s:

🚫 Refuse: Say a firm no to single-use plastics.
♻️ Reduce: Cut down on what we use before waste even starts.
🔄 Reuse: Give items a second life instead of tossing them out.
🔁 Recycle: Turn old waste into new, useful resources.

🔥 To tackle the waste we can't avoid, Project W introduced safe school incinerators. They help burn unavoidable trash safely—cutting down toxic smoke, stopping the spread of disease, and keeping classrooms clean and safe.

🏫🔥 Look who came to visit! 🚗✨

We had the absolute best time hosting our special guest, Maria, at our partner schools last month! We took her out to Russey Lok, Kdei Beng, Pong Ro, K*k Thluk, Spean Tnot, and Preah Theat to check out the progress on our brand-new school incinerators. 🧱💨

The trip was filled with so many laughs, great stories, and beautiful views of the countryside along the way. It’s moments like these that remind us how lucky we are to do this work alongside awesome people. 🌾💙

Moments like these remind us that friendship and collaboration are at the heart of creating change. We are truly grateful to The DigiDirect Foundation and Rotary Passport Melbourne for their generous support, which makes these experiences possible and helps us continue building a brighter future for students in Cambodia. 🙏🌍
