Mondulkiri Indigenous People’s Association for Development (MIPAD) is a local organisation developed by Nomad Recherche et Soutien International (Nomad RSI) since 2010. MIPAD operates throughout Mondulkiri in 5 districts in (Kao Seima, O Raing, Pichreada, Koh Niek and Senmonorm). MIPAD is to be an evolving, responsive and learning organization, declaring at its formal inception in 2011 that it wou

ld build from its core strengths to promote:
• Health; hygiene and prevention of diseases.
• Maternal/child health
• Self-help groups and equality of access to public services (extending in due course to all 98 villages)
• Preservation and conservation of indigenous culture; rights; traditions and arts.
• Improved livelihoods based on traditional crafts and good husbandry of natural resources.

MIPAD participated in NGO-CEDAW's first quarterly meeting, https://ngocedaw.org/en/ in Phnom Penh City with other members dated 26-27-02-2026 at NIK hotel. The meeting also included the joint advocacy training by a consultant to reflect with the members about the results has been learned from last year, 2025, and strategic actions toward 2026. The joint advocacy training to be continued for the next session in March 18-19th, 2026.

MIPAD attended CRC-Cambodiain's the Consultation Workshop with Key Ministries on the Implementation of the UNCRC Concluding Observations and UPR Recommendations Related to the Rights of Children with Diverse SOGIESC. The workshop was held on: 16 December 2025 Phnom Penh: Cambodiana Hotel (313 Preah Sisowath Quay Phnom Penh)

This workshop aims to provide a collaborative platform for key ministries and civil society partners to review progress, identify gaps, and discuss priority actions to strengthen Cambodia’s implementation of its UNCRC and UPR obligations related to children with diverse SOGIESC (for more, click here)
Purpose of the workshop:
1. Review progress on SOGIESC-related UNCRC and UPR recommendations.
2. Identify challenges, gaps, and capacity needs.
3. Define priority actions to accelerate inclusive implementation.

As a result MIPAD adapted child protection policy to involve more diverse SOGIESC's active participation into its program implementation strategy and to encourage involvement and participation from diverse SOGIESC into AYRG-CLUP.

Importantly in this opportunity MIPAD received laptop computer from CRC-CAMBDODIA to support AYRG CLUP in Mondulkiri.

MIPAD has participated in The ALiSEA National General Assembly to discuss progresses, challenges/concerns and action plan and share Argo-ecology experiences with other members 🙏.

OBJECTIVES
● To update on ALiSEA Governance and Internal Structuration
● To present and update the ALiSEA activities results in 2025;
● To share with members on the ALiSEA action plan 2026;
● To enhance good communication, the relationship, and networking among all ALiSEA members in
collecting concerns and resolution
● To enable all ALiSEA members to show their challenges, concerns, feedback, and suggestions
regarding ALiSEA governance and operations.

AYRG-Adolescents and Youth Reference Group from Mondulkiri attended the training workshop on Social Behavior Change (SBC) with AYRG in Ratanakiri for one day in Ratanakiri, 19-10-2025 jointly organized by CRC, SVC and UNICEF, total was over 20 participants.

The AYRG training workshop found three problems in their communities for boys and girls:

MIPAD is a member of ALiSEA member participated in intensive training course on Agro-ecology in BOSKNOR, Kompong Cham Province at the Agro-ecology Research Station Center for the of 5days from 16-20 Sep 2024.

The agro-ecology training covers different forms following Organic Agriculture, Argo-forestry, Conservation Agriculture, Sustainable Rice Production, Integrated Agriculture and so on.

Introduction to cover crops, soil, and other practical research and experiences being introduced, shared and present during the course.

MIPAD was very interested to the course that provide fruitful concepts and practical experience on agro-ecology which targeted most perspectives on conservation agriculture, organic agriculture and agro-forestry.

MIPAD participated in small grant introduction organized by ALiSEA Team in PP following the support from DPA, GRET, and Uni4Coop, over 20 network members were attended in the informative session. The grant to be provided through a call for the period of 12 to 18 months with maximum fund up-to 18000EUR. MIPAD and CTOD joined co-proposal for this call targeted organic vegetable growing on shelter learned from GRET' practical experience

The Agroecology Learning Alliance in Southeast Assia (ALiSEA) network in Cambodia is providing two small grants in 2024 to support and strengthen ALiSEA’s members to implement their activities in align with three major topics in support to agroecology transition in Sub-Mekong Region. Three topics are: (1) support and improve market access for agroecology, (2) link field experience in Agroecology, and (3) empower and strengthen women and youth involvement in Agroecology.

To implement and ease the process of small grants, ALiSEA is organizing the information and proposal writing session to the information of ALiSEA’s Small Grant Facility in 2024 to its local members.

This session aims to:
- Providing key general information regarding the ALiSEA’s small-grant facility in 2024 to ALiSEA members in Cambodia; and
- Familiarizing ALiSEA members in Cambodia with the proposal development process to apply for the small grants.
