Donation Appeal: Support Displaced Cambodian Families 🇰🇭
Ongoing border tensions have forced large numbers of Cambodian families to flee their homes, particularly in Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Banteay Meanchey. Based on information from UNICEF Cambodia, WHO, UNOCHA, and regional media, over 50,000 Cambodian people are currently displaced and living in pagodas, temporary shelters, and temporary camps with limited access to food, clean water, sanitation, and safe sleeping spaces.
The impact on children has been severe. More than 280 schools are closed or inaccessible, affecting over 86,000 students who are now without learning materials, safe environments, or regular schooling. Many families fled with little warning, leaving behind homes, farms, and livelihoods as parents carried young children and elderly relatives to safety.
In response, ECDC is launching the Cambodian Refugees Relief Fund to deliver immediate, life-saving assistance. Donor support will help provide emergency food supplies, clean water and hygiene kits, temporary shelter assistance, and essential support for children and mothers, with priority given to the most vulnerable displaced families.
Your contribution will directly support urgent humanitarian needs and help restore dignity to families who have lost everything. At this critical moment, your partnership can make a meaningful difference for thousands of Cambodian families seeking safety and stability.
Together, we can respond with compassion and help families survive today while laying the foundation for recovery tomorrow.
