🗓 នៅថ្ងៃទី២៧ ខែ ឧសភា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ អង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិសិទ្ធិមនុស្ស (OHCHR) បានសម្របសម្រួលវគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលមួយស្តីពីការវិភាគគោលនយោបាយថវិកាអាកាសធាតុ និងធនធានធម្មជាតិ រៀបចំឡើងដោយអង្គការភាពជាដៃគូដើម្បីបរិស្ថាន និងការអភិវឌ្ឍ ។

វគ្គបណ្តុះបណ្តាលនេះបានជួយឱ្យអ្នកចូលរួម​បានសិក្សាស្វែងយល់អំពីវិធីសាស្ត្រ​ តាមដានចំណាយសាធារណៈដើម្បីអាកាសធាតុ និងធនធានធម្មជាតិ និងការសួរសំណួរផ្អែកលើមូលដ្ឋានសិទ្ធិមនុស្សថាតើការចាត់ចែងធនធានមានភាពយុត្តិធម៌ និងមានប្រសិទ្ធិភាពឬទេ។

💡សិក្ខាកាមបានសិក្សារៀនសូត្រអំពីដំណើរការរៀបចំថវិកា និងហិរញ្ញប្បទានគាំទ្រការប្រែប្រួលអាកាសធាតុ និងបានពិភាក្សាអំពីគោលការណ៍សិទ្ធិមនុស្សដែលអាចជួយឱ្យហរិញ្ញវត្ថុសាធារណៈដែលកាន់តែមានគណនេយ្យភាព និងបរិយាបន្ន ដើម្បីលើកកម្ពស់សិទ្ធិសេដ្ឋកិច្ចសង្គមកិច្ច និងសិទ្ធិវប្បធម៌ ។

“Public budgets should work for people. When young people understand the process, they can help strengthen transparency, participation and accountability so climate finance supports those most affected,” said Matilda Bogner, Representative, 🇺🇳 United Nations Human Rights in Cambodia (OHCHR Cambodia).

Climate action needs public financing, if it is to be effective. When public spending is transparent and inclusive, climate finance is more likely to support communities most affected and ensure their rights in practice.

🗓 On 27 May 2026, 🇺🇳 United Nations Human Rights in Cambodia facilitated a training on climate and natural resource finance policy analysis organized by the Partnership for Environment and Development Organization (PED). The session helped students learn how to follow public spending for climate and natural resources and how to ask rights-based questions about whether funding is fair and effective.

💡Participants explored ’s budget process and climate change budgeting and discussed how human rights principles can support more accountable and inclusive public finance that advances economic, social and cultural rights.

📑 The training brought together 10 staff members and youth (7 women & 3 men) from PED. 🇺🇳 United Nations Human Rights in Cambodia remains committed to supporting youth engagement and civil society collaboration to advance inclusive, rights-based public budgeting, that contributes to sustainable development (SDG16) and ensures that no one is left behind.

In response to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, the Secretary General of the UN said today that the science is clear: fossil fuels are the principal driver of the climate crisis. The path to climate justice runs through a rapid, just, and equitable transition away from fossil fuels towards renewable energy.

Renewables proved to be the cheapest and the most secure form of energy supply.

The task ahead is clear— keep 1.5°C within reach and build a safer, fairer, and more resilient future for all.

🇰🇭🇺🇳 United Nations Human Rights in Cambodia (OHCHR) and the Cambodia Indigenous Youth Association (CIYA) invite Indigenous youth aged 18 to 35, based in Phnom Penh, to apply for a four-session capacity-building training series taking place from June to July 2026.

🌱✨This training is designed with and for Indigenous communities. It creates a safe and inclusive space for young people to deepen their understanding of Indigenous People’s rights, explore customary, national and international legal frameworks and strengthen practical advocacy and engagement skills.

From 5 to 7 May 2026, 🇰🇭🇺🇳 United Nations in Cambodia (OHCHR) conducted field visits to Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap and Preah Vihear provinces, including relocation and displacement sites in areas affected by the border conflict.

The visit was led by the newly appointed Representative of the 🇰🇭🇺🇳 United Nations Human Rights in Cambodia (OHCHR), Matilda Bogner, who travelled to the affected areas as part of OHCHR’s continued engagement with communities impacted by displacement and insecurity.

During the visit, 🇰🇭🇺🇳​ OHCHR teams met with displaced women, men, young people, and older persons, and spoke with local authorities and community representatives. Displaced communities raised concerns about safety, loss of housing, access to water, education and healthcare, and the ability to earn a living. Understanding these concerns helps inform OHCHR’s continued engagement and technical cooperation with partners to support rights-based responses.

🇰🇭🇺🇳​ OHCHR’s work is guided by the principles of human dignity, protection and Leaving No One Behind, and contributes to SDG 16 on peaceful, just and inclusive societies. OHCHR will continue engaging with communities and relevant institutions to help strengthen protection for affected people and support pathways to durable solutions in line with international human rights standards and international humanitarian law.
