Mrs. Kan Lieb is an 80-year-old widow living in Chhnour Village, Chhnour Meanchey Commune, Preah Netr Preah District, Banteay Meanchey Province. Her husband passed away 23 years ago due to serious illness, leaving her to face life under extremely difficult circumstances. Today, she lives with her two grandchildren, whom she lovingly cares for despite her advanced age.
For many years, Mrs. Kan Lieb and her two grandchildren lived in a small temporary shelter beneath a mobile phone tower. They slept on a bed placed directly on the ground, relying on the shelter for protection from the rain and wind. During the rainy season, rainwater and strong winds entered the shelter, leaving it damp and making it difficult to rest. In addition, the constant noise from the telecommunications equipment mounted on the tower above disturbed their sleep and daily lives. The shelter’s low roof also caused them to frequently hit their heads whenever they stood up.
Mrs. Kan Lieb has four children. Sadly, three of them have passed away, leaving only one son, who lives in Battambang Province. Because he also struggles financially, he is unable to provide regular support. As a result, Mrs. Kan Lieb depends largely on the kindness of her neighbors, who occasionally give her between KHR 5,000 and KHR 10,000 to help meet her daily needs.
Mrs. Kan Lieb has been a follower of Jesus Christ for 18 years.
Through the generosity of donors, Mrs. Kan Lieb received a new home, a blessing she never imagined possible, including a bed, mattress, pillows, a bolster, blankets, a wardrobe, clothes hangers, and mosquito nets.
Receiving this new home has transformed the lives of Mrs. Kan Lieb and her two grandchildren. For the first time in many years, they have a safe, dry, and secure place to live, protected from the elements. With tears of joy and gratitude, Mrs. Kan Lieb shared that she no longer worries about the rainy season or losing sleep because of wind, rain, or the constant noise from the tower. Instead, her family now enjoys peace, dignity, and renewed hope for the future.
Mrs. Kan Lieb gives thanks to God for His faithful provision and expresses her heartfelt gratitude to all donors, whose generosity made this life-changing gift possible. Her new home stands as a testimony to God’s love and the compassion of His people, providing a firm foundation for a brighter future for her and her grandchildren.
