Taking disability advocacy from the page to the stage.
We were delighted to welcome Australian Embassy, Cambodia to Epic Arts to share our work bringing disability voices into Cambodia's climate planning.

Our CEO Sokny Onn explains how we use research and performance to ensure people with disabilities aren't just included in climate conversations, they're leading them.

We were also proud to show them our social enterprises: Epic Arts Dance, using performance to challenge perceptions and drive policy change and Epic Arts Cafe proving that inclusive employment works when systems are built right.

When climate disasters strike, people with disabilities face the highest risks. This work ensures their voices shape the response before disasters happen.

33 people just got stronger at protecting Kampot's children.
Last week Epic Arts' Social Work and Child Protection Team brought together ChildSafe Agents, old and new, to strengthen skills, share experiences and build the network keeping vulnerable children safe.

What happened: New agents learned their roles: identifying at-risk children, promoting the ChildSafe Hotline, connecting families to services and reporting urgent concerns.

All agents learned Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Epic Arts' guidelines for supporting children with disabilities and child protection fundamentals.

Experienced agents shared real stories: helping children access wheelchairs, providing educational materials to orphans, protecting children facing violence, feeding homeless children and reuniting them with families.

Challenges discussed: Limited community awareness, case follow-up difficulties, communication barriers with deaf children.

Solutions identified: Continued training, peer support, better coordination with authorities and Epic Arts.

Child protection works when communities are prepared, trained and connected. This meeting ensures Kampot's ChildSafe Movement Agents have the knowledge and support to act when children need protection most.

Epic Arts is proud to have developed "Climate Change and Disabilities in Cambodia", an easy read guide making critical climate information accessible to people with disabilities.

Climate disasters affect everyone, but people with disabilities face disproportionate risks: inaccessible evacuation routes, warning systems they can't access, response plans that forget them entirely.

This guide addresses that gap, providing:
✓ Clear, accessible information on climate change impacts
✓ Practical recommendations for inclusive disaster response
✓ Resources for authorities and communities to ensure no one is left behind

Stronger communities. Safer children.
Epic Arts just expanded Kampot's ChildSafe Movement Agent network to 40 volunteers, people in our community trained to recognize child abuse, connect families to support and activate the 24/7 ChildSafe Hotline when children face danger.

These aren't social workers. They're trusted community members, neighbours, shopkeepers, teachers, who now know what to look for and how to respond when children need protection.

Over the past month our Social Work Team partnered with Kampot City and Teuk Chhou District authorities to review existing agents and recruit 21 new volunteers. Together they form a community based protection system ensuring no child slips through the cracks.

Child protection doesn't happen in offices. It happens when communities are equipped to act.

The Global Ability Photography Challenge (GAPC 2026) is open for submissions. This is an international photography competition for people with disabilities, in partnership with Adani Foundation.

Who can enter: Anyone with a disability who enjoys photography
Cost: FREE
Theme: Open e.g. daily life, nature, portraits, street, travel, culture, anything you create
Submissions: Up to 3 original photographs (no AI-generated images)
Total prize pool: £13,090
