Children´s Future International (CFI) was founded in 2009 by Jenny Ciucci and Andrew Wolff to be a community-based organization to promote children's rights and uphold the dignity of the most vulnerable in rural areas of Battambang Province, Cambodia. CFI envisions a future where every child in Cambodia is safe, healthy, educated, thriving and happy. It´s mission is to improve the lives of vulnera

ble, marginalized and at-risk children in Battambang province by providing access to quality education; promoting child rights; ensuring physical safety, health and wellness; inspiring children and young adults to act as positive role models within their communities; fostering self-reliance among families and communities while sharing joy together. Today, CFI serves over 400 at-risk children, youth, and their families through four main program areas: social work services to ensure the basic needs and safety of families, supplementary education in the learning center to support children with their studies, education advocacy to keep them in school and special projects to provide additional youth empowerment opportunities. Fun Season Starts With Our Students!
At CFI, we believe that the best activities are created with our students, not just for them. Before starting this year’s Fun Season, our Learning Center team held a special meeting with students to hear their ideas, interests, and expectations.

We asked them what activities they enjoy, what they would like to learn, and how they would like Fun Season to be organized. From arts and crafts, sports, dancing, singing, and games to movies, Rubik’s cubes, coloring, and much more, students had the opportunity to share their voices and help shape the activities they will enjoy throughout the month.

Fun Season is our way of celebrating students’ hard work after their final exams while giving them a chance to relax, have fun, explore new interests, and build friendships. Their ideas and participation make the experience more meaningful and exciting.

A big thank you to our students for sharing their creativity and enthusiasm, and to our dedicated Learning Center team for creating a space where every student’s voice matters.

Our New CFI Volleyball Court Is Ready!

The CFI volleyball court is officially complete! With the generous support of the Women’s Auxiliary Club in Denver, our students and community now have a new, safe space to enjoy the many benefits of sport.

This court creates opportunities for students to stay active, reduce stress, build friendships, and strengthen their physical and mental well-being. Through volleyball, students can develop valuable life skills such as teamwork, communication, discipline, leadership, confidence, and resilience.

We hope this new space will bring students together, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create countless moments of learning, connection, and joy both on and off the court.

Children's Future International (CFI) was honored and delighted to host an awareness workshop on the Social Assistance Programs of the National Social Assistance Fund (NSAF) for CFI staff.

Children's Future International (CFI) would like to express its deepest gratitude to Mr. Ouch Kimny and Mr. Im Bun Chhoeun, Deputy Head of Department; Mr. Sin Panhavuthy, Deputy Chief of Office, representing the Delegation of the Royal Government of Cambodia in charge of the National Social Assistance Fund under the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY); and Mr. Vong Ratha, Head of the National Social Assistance Fund Branch at the Battambang Provincial Department of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation.

We sincerely appreciate them for taking the time to share their valuable knowledge, practical experience, and solutions to various challenges, while also providing detailed guidance on the Royal Government of Cambodia's social protection programs. The workshop was held on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

This workshop also strengthened the partnership between CFI and the National Social Assistance Fund, helping to enhance the implementation of Cambodia's national social assistance and social security programs, both now and in the future. Through this collaboration, we aim to ensure these programs are more effective, better targeted, and able to maximize benefits for vulnerable children, families, and communities throughout Battambang Province.

Helping students prepare for their future starts with helping them understand themselves.

Our Education Advocacy team recently facilitated a University Preparation Workshop for 61 students in Grade 11 (45 girls) at Prek Norin High School. During the workshop, students explored their personal strengths and areas for growth while learning how these qualities can help them succeed in either the Science or Social Science education track.

Choosing the right educational pathway is an important step toward achieving future goals. By encouraging self-awareness and informed decision-making, we hope to empower students to build confidence, make thoughtful choices, and prepare for success in higher education and beyond.

Vocational school visit in Battambang!

Choosing what comes after school isn't always easy, and not every young person follows the same path. That's why CFI recently took Grade 9 students and young people who are no longer in school on a visit to vocational training centers in Battambang, giving them the chance to explore new possibilities for their future.

By seeing these opportunities firsthand, they learned that success isn't defined by one route alone. Whether they continue through Grade 12, pursue vocational training, or choose another path, every young person deserves the knowledge and confidence to make the choice that's right for them.
At CFI, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to build a future they can be proud of.

Disability and Monitoring & Evaluation Training

We were delighted to welcome back our old friends and former directors, Zoey Henley and Lee Henley, to facilitate a valuable training workshop for our staff on Disability Inclusion and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E).

These workshops were designed to strengthen our team's understanding of disability inclusion, ensuring our programs are more accessible and inclusive for everyone. The second part built upon these goals, looking at continuous monitoring and improvement cycles, using disability inclusion as the example, but learning the technique to apply to all our programs.

The training was filled with engaging discussions, practical activities, and meaningful learning that will help us serve our community more effectively.
A heartfelt thank you to Zoey and Lee Henley for sharing your knowledge, experience, and passion with our team. We truly appreciate your time, encouragement, and continued support of CFI.

ជម្លោះកាលពីឆ្នាំមុនបាននាំឱ្យពលករចំណាកស្រុកកម្ពុជាជិត ៩០០,០០០ នាក់ ត្រឡប់មកពីប្រទេសថៃត្រឹមខែកញ្ញា ឆ្នាំ២០២៥ ដែលបានបង្កើនសម្ពាធលើគ្រួសារ ទីផ្សារការងារ និងសេវាសាធារណៈ នេះបើយោងតាមការវាយតម្លៃសេដ្ឋកិច្ច និងសង្គមរបស់អង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិ។ កុមារជាច្រើនដែលរងផលប៉ះពាល់ពីជម្លោះនេះ បានផ្អាក ឬកាត់បន្ថយការចូលរៀន ហើយជាង ៨០% ក្នុងចំណោមពួកគេ ត្រូវការសម្ភារៈសិក្សាជាចាំបាច់បំផុត។

ដោយហេតុនេះហើយ យើងសូមថ្លែងអំណរគុណយ៉ាងជ្រាលជ្រៅដល់ Basaid ដែលបានផ្តល់ការគាំទ្របន្ទាន់ អនុញ្ញាតឱ្យក្រុមការងាររបស់យើងជួយសិស្សចំនួន ២៥ នាក់ ដែលរងផលប៉ះពាល់ដោយផ្ទាល់ពីជម្លោះក្នុងសហគមន៍របស់យើង ឱ្យទទួលបានសម្ភារៈសិក្សា និងកង់ ដើម្បីធានាថាពួកគេអាចបន្តការសិក្សាបាន។

សម្ភារៈសិក្សាទាំងនេះអាចបង្កើតការផ្លាស់ប្តូរយ៉ាងសំខាន់ ដោយជួយធានាឱ្យកុមារទាំងអស់មានឱកាសស្មើគ្នាក្នុងការទទួលបានការអប់រំ និងអនាគតដែលប្រសើរជាងមុន។

Last year’s conflict led to nearly 900,000 Cambodian migrant workers returning from Thailand by September 2025, amplifying pressures on households, labor markets, and public services according to a socio-economic assessment by the United Nations. Many of the children affected either stopped or reduced attendance at school, with over 80% needing education supplies as their most pressing need.

That’s why we are so grateful to Basaid for providing emergency support that allowed our team to work with 25 students directly affected by the conflict in our community to receive school supplies and bicycles to ensure that they could continue their learning. These school supplies can make a huge difference in ensuring equal access to education and a better future for all.
