The Sorn Foundation The Sorn Foundation (Equality and Education for women and children) is an international charity organization based in Cambodia.

To empower women and children living in rural Cambodia through education and community development to end the cycle of poverty and social exclusion endured by many women and children. It was established to promote the total empowerment and development of women and children in rural Cambodia to escape poverty by delivering education, basic skills and community development programmes. The Sorn Foundation is an independent charity non-profit organization which seeks to reduce the high levels of Violence Against Women (VAW) in Cambodia, by empowering the women and children with grass roots education and training programmes such as Khmer and English education packages, basic skills, women's rights and parenting. We will organize sustainable living programmes, growing vegetables, and raising livestock. We will also operate a community enterprise hub providing mentoring and support for personal and business development. The Sorn Foundation is directed by Nicola Clements and Somphors Sorn with the aim of empowering women and children living within Rural Cambodia.

🌱 Growing More Than Just Trees 🌱

At The Sorn Foundation, our children don't just learn in the classroom. They also learn responsibility, patience and pride by caring for their own baby fruit trees.

Each week they water them, remove weeds and watch them grow a little more. One day these trees will provide fresh fruit for future generations of children at our school.

Small hands, big hearts, and a greener future. 💚💜

At The Sorn Foundation, we believe every child deserves to be safe, healthy, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Every day, we provide a healthy, balanced diet, access to showering facilities, a safe place to learn, and ensure children's medical and dental needs are met. We also work closely with families to help meet each child's basic needs and create lasting change.

Together, we're building brighter futures—one child at a time. 💜

Today we welcomed the team from AIM Cambodia to The Sorn Foundation.

Together we'll be strengthening child protection through safeguarding training for our staff and community, and the Safe Bodies programme for our children.

Strong partnerships help keep children safe. Thank you, AIM Cambodia—we look forward to working together. 💜
