On November 15, in partnership with the International Office, AUCA Sustainability Coordinator Tolgonai Elemanova held an interactive workshop for international students dedicated to understanding climate change and the role of youth in shaping a sustainable future.

The session introduced the fundamentals of climate change and its implications for Kyrgyzstan, connecting local realities with global trends and highlighting the country’s climate policy and commitments under the Paris Agreement. Students explored how higher education is evolving in response to environmental challenges - with AUCA showcased as a leading example of institutional change in Central Asia.

💧🌱 To deepen their understanding, students and staff took part in the Climate Fresk Game - a collaborative game where participants map out the “big picture” of climate causes and impacts. Through teamwork and discussion, they connected causes & consequences, reasons & effects, and explored the complex chains of climate causation.

✨ A big thank you to all participants for your energy and curiosity. Together, we are building a more informed, proactive, and climate-resilient generation.

🌱 Погружаемся в Эко-Мастер-классы! 🌱

4 октября 2025 года, 30 любознательных студентов исследовали мир устойчивого развития в Mancho School! 💧🌬️♻️💡

Наши интерактивные Эко-Мастер-классы собрали экспертов по темам Вода, Воздух, Управление отходами и Энергоэффективность. Участники переходили между сессиями в формате «кафе», изучая практические советы, проводя эксперименты и участвуя в оживлённых дискуссиях.

В завершение все участвовали в игре Kahoot с призами, применяя новые знания в игровой форме! 🏆

On April 25, events dedicated to sustainable development and the green economy took place at AUCA, organized by the AUCA Sustainability Program of CCE in partnership with Ala-Too International University (AIU).

1️⃣Campus Tour
Participants enjoyed an exciting and informative campus tour that focused on sustainability and the innovative technologies implemented at AUCA. The tour highlighted both theoretical and practical solutions for a sustainable future, including the use of geothermal energy for efficient and environmentally friendly power supply.

2️⃣Working Group Meeting: Collaboration for Sustainable Development
Within the framework of the University Alliance for Green Economy and Sustainable Development (AVZUR), new directions for further collaboration and the implementation of sustainable solutions were outlined. During the working meeting, experts discussed current environmental challenges, initiatives and exchanged experiences. Special attention was given to fostering partnerships between AUCA, KEU, AIU, and the members of the Green Alliance of Kyrgyzstan.

3️⃣Student Program by the Green Club of AUCA: Best Student Initiatives
Members of the Green Club of AUCA presented the best student projects and initiatives on sustainability, such as the food waste composting project and the «Maki» project, and followed up with team-building activities. These initiatives provided an excellent platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening collaboration between students of AUCA and IUA.
