For thousands of Kenyan online and cab hailing drivers, every day on the road is a chance to earn a living. They keep our cities moving, yet they also face some of the greatest risks, from road accidents to unexpected medical emergencies, often without reliable health coverage.

Recognizing this reality, MaishaPoa met with the drivers’ welfare group representing more than 30,000 drivers to discuss practical and affordable health insurance solutions tailored to their needs.

Because the people who keep Kenya moving deserve peace of mind, both on and off the road.

BiasharaPoa Cover is here.

Every business is a risk.

Not the kind you read about in textbooks - the kind that shows up on a Tuesday when you are admitted to hospital and your kiosk has no one to open it. The kind that arrives when your best employee is sick for three weeks and the orders still need to go out. The kind that hits when your business capital becomes your medical bill.

You did not build your biashara to lose it to something you could have planned for.

BiasharaPoa Cover is designed for Kenyan entrepreneurs - the kiosk owner, the salon operator, the contractor, the freelancer. Flexible premiums. Real cover. A plan that works around how you actually earn.

Protect what you built.

We had the pleasure of meeting the Alto Drivers Self-Help Groupa community of digital cab drivers who pioneered the Uber ChapChap model, with the iconic Suzuki Alto as their signature vehicle.

In a remarkable show of unity, the group made the decision to join MaishaPoa together and officially signed up for health insurance.

Their reasoning was both simple and powerful: “When one member is sick, the whole group is sick.”
By protecting each individual, they are strengthening the wellbeing and resilience of the entire team.

At MaishaPoa, we sincerely appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in us. We remain committed to providing exceptional and reliable healthcare coverage, prompt support, and peace of mind for you and your families.

Welcome to the MaishaPoa family, Alto Drivers Self-Help Group! Together, we are building healthier communities, one member at a time.
