As the year draws to a close, we pause to say a sincere thank you.
2025 has been a year of shared purpose, bold conversations, and collective action. None of the milestones we reached would have been possible without the trust, collaboration, and commitment of our staff, partners, allies, and the wider conservation family.
You stood with us in moments of learning, reflection, challenge, and growth. You amplified voices that matter. You helped turn ideas into action and advocacy into impact. For that, we are deeply grateful.
At Maungu, we believe progress is built through partnerships, and this year reaffirmed that belief. Every engagement, programme, and story reminds us that when we work together, our influence goes further, and our impact lasts longer.
As you celebrate this festive season, we wish you rest, joy, and renewed strength. May the coming year bring clarity of purpose, deeper collaboration, and continued impact on the work we do together.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„

One Mission, Many Hands: Collaborative Conservation at Work ๐Ÿ˜

On 11th October, a young elephant calf found itself in serious trouble after accidentally falling into a trench in the Kambaga area, neighbouring Maungu Wildlife Conservancy (MWC).

The situation was critical, but the response was instant and unified.

Our MWC rangers, in collaboration with KWS rangers and David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust team, swiftly responded and successfully orchestrated a careful rescue of the calf from the trench and ensured its safety.

A powerful reminder: Conservation is not a solo mission; it is a collaborative lifeline; every patrol, every shared resource makes such moments possible.

On World Ranger Day, we pause to honour the incredible courage and profound sacrifices of rangers globally.

This year, we, Maungu Wildlife Conservancy, were proud to join fellow conservation stakeholders in the Tsavo Landscape to commemorate World Ranger Day together.

THANK YOU, Kasigau Wildlife Conservancy, for hosting us, and Taita Taveta Wildlife Conservancies Association for bringing us together and capturing the day so eloquently in your post.
