Women Rising Through Conservation: Empowerment Powered by the REDD+ Project in Kenya
Across Kenya, women are taking the lead in advancing sustainable forest management through the REDD+ Project. By integrating conservation with community empowerment, the project is equipping women with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to become agents of change in their local environments.
Through activities such as tree nursery establishment, forest monitoring, and sustainable livelihood programs, women are contributing directly to climate change mitigation while improving household incomes and strengthening community resilience.
