The Government of Kenya has intensified efforts to secure employment opportunities abroad as part of its strategy to address youth unemployment.
Speaking to our very own Gabriel Mwakoma in Voi, Taita Taveta County, Labour Principal Secretary Shadrack Mwadime said nearly one million young people graduate every year from universities, colleges, and technical institutions, while the country's economy currently creates only about 300,000 jobs annually.
The PS noted that the government is opening up international labour markets to help bridge the employment gap and provide more opportunities for Kenyan youth.
